raz if thats what the rams are made of expect a few more losses this year wasnt real convincing. meadows were pretty average & probably kept the rams in the game with some average skills. but a win is a win. dont think will be the same next time.

Good Stuff Rams and Demons! Saw Cally and Gums today and Cally won by 5.3. Sad , but I reckon I saw 2 of the 3 bottom sides. Very lack-lustre game today, no-one stood out. Looked a bit like a kick in the park. I have been pushing for a Div 3 in the hills for ages and today's game just re-inforced my thoughts. On a positive note, I noticed that my Budget didn't contain any of Owen's self-written "Letters to the Editor". About bloody time. A bit of credibility in the League's handout was appreciated.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Not suited to the conditions.. Um you do realise that Football is a winter sport and to play well you have to play in the rain as well. That is shocking excuse. Echunga too quick and too much skill going forward for Kangy. Plus Echunga had 7 Out from Last weeks Win against Nairne.

both teams played with big forwards and weren't suited to the conditions
Meadows have three big forwards and under lights there wasn't a pack mark taken from either side all night
when they went small they looked much better in the last term
Kangy had Smelty up forward who didn't touch the ball all day and was dragged in the last term
Echunga had 3 on the board before the main rain came

Watch out mid season for a full strenght Kangarilla, They will push any Central division team![/quote]

Who the hell do you think you're kidding!!! Kangy wouldn't get within 25 goals of Mt Lofty, Uraidla or Hahndorf!! MASSIVE difference between the 2 divs................................ Div 2 is full of Div 1 hasbeens and scrubbers blended with the odd good player!!!

Alice..... i think i do agree with the previous comment, sounds like u dont know much about the caliber of the players at kangarilla, a full strenght team from kangarilla would easily push any central team, even without guitnik. i personally know uraidlas coac, who knows quite a bit of footy and does agree with myself try and see a game or 2.

choppy... we still have 4 quality graders out injured. when we have our full side we will beat you by more than 1 goal.
And about the conditions it hardly rained all game.. Nairne were just too good and probably let Meadows back in the game with our poor skills in the last quarter we led by about 3 or 4 goals the whole game til the last 5 minutes.
Good win to Nairne!! i know it hurts seaess and choppy but get over it and accept that you lost..
Stop making excuses about poor skills and weather.

I think most of the div 2 teams would flog birdwood and they only lost to uraidla by 8 goal on saturday?
You are absolutely dreaming alice the camel, the gap between div 1 and div 2 has been closed considerably in the last couple of years.
You obviously havent seen much COUNTRY division football if you think its full of scrubbers and has beens.

you think you think you think...i think you're dreaming if you think most div 2 teams would flog birdwood!! uraidla and mt.lofty would pump almost all div 2 teams by 10 - 15 + goals, and birdwood got within 8 goals of uraidla on sat, hills pacesetters for a long time!! birdwood are a much improved side on last year, 5-6 top quality recruits, plus a team of young guys with a year of central under their belts now. nairne couldn't beat us in div 2 and they certainly wouldn't be able to beat us now..... birdwood WILL beat lobethal and bridgewater this year, and push plenty of other sides.
having played lots of footy in div 2 and now div 1, the standard difference is more significant than i think you're giving it credit for!
birdwood would make the top 5 in div 2 (as we always did), and id be very surprised if any div 2 side would make the top 5 in div 1. end rant.

dry your eyes princess....

a lot of us playing in div 2 have played at div 1 club or at higher levels in town. and we know the difference, your previous statement shows you havent seen any div 2 football since birdwood where in div 2.
