Yoda...... I believe he has only been reported once in over 10 years of footy....not saying there have not been incidents, but i would hardly call that a bad record

didnt someone mention a few pages back that he had been suspended a couple of years ago for 8 or 9 matches?

Massive news if he deliberately hit the umpire, the league has to act and come down hard, hardest part will be to prove it was deliberate.

Tanka... you may know more than me but wasnt he accused of threating the presidents life, if so you would think that incident may not help his cause as it would be the second time he has attacked either verbally or physically an official of the HFL.

A.Trzesinski (Central) and B.Pearce (Country) are my Mail Medal Tips.

When TV played Kersbrook the game was hard and fair apart from one little Sniper who tried unsuccessfully on numerous occasions in nailing one of the James Boys. That player was Battams.

IMHO, Rowsell from Echunga and I think Guitink from Kangarilla will poll very well despite the fact that he plays at Full Forward.

Radais would be no chance I would of thought. Even though Kangarilla are flying this year there hasnt been a real standout player this year for them.

Their best players vary, probably why they are sitting up the top.

What are people impression on the B grade umpiring this year in country?

The league is no longer able to supply them so club umpires are used. Some are very good, however there are a number who are terrible, I understand the decisions are not going to be too flash at times, but some have just blatantly cheated, abused players and abused their authority.

Im not sure what the answer is, are the clubs to take action or the league? Or is this just something we have to put up with? Probably the latter unfortunately.

Ebert from Uraidla would be a good show. Always kicks 4 or 5 goals playing from the middle. And don't discount Muffy. Proven vote getter and has definantly been BOG in few games this yr even if not in best players at all. Possibly Flo or Trigger from Lofty

Wade Mclean has had an outstanding season. Kane becoming more and more prominent, perhaps not enough for votes though. I would think Ebert and J Brown would feature for UDFC

Statsman i reckon that's a good idea in the interest of maintaing the dignity of top tier hills footy as it won't be pretty. If this game is the first taste of hills central footy for any new hills residents we all apologize and recommend you go to balhannah for the onkas v uraidla or heathfield for the lofty v blackwood game instead.....

That made me laugh, nice one!
In all honesty though...in the past 10 years, is this one of the 'least' anticipated clashes? I mean, I played for Lofty when we were near the cellar with Bridgey or Nairne, but either us or Bridgey still offered a good showing. Maybe it's the rivalry between shanty and devs? It just seems that most of us have seen Lobey play and can't find many positives.

You must be kidding. I was involved in the HFL and if you think Lofty v Nairne or any one else in those days was a good advertisement for the HFL your a joke. MT Lofty are'nt doing much wrong at the moment granted, but please don't try and cover up the beltings and standard you produced for a long time up to a couple of years ago.

Granted, Nairne V Lofty wasn't ever a GF preview.
But the passion that Lofty and Bridgey blokes showed, regardless of their spot on the ladder made those games interesting at least.
I was there for some of the beltings, peanut, I'm not trying to cover them up at all. But compare (as someone from NEITHER club) a Lofty vs Bridgewater to the current Lobey vs Birdwood, I'm just saying the former would be a better game to watch.
