Clubs reap income from canteen, Bar and teams stick together over summer aswel as doing a pre season. Dunno if it would work, some clubs do it in adelaide but not sure about country.

Would include strath, langhornes, willunga, yank but maybe to far to travel for the acctual venue. Needs to be more of a social thing.

Gday GSFL'ers, ive played Gaelic in the off season for about 3 years now and its a ripper game and great for running out the pi$$ consumed in summer - tho buggered if I could explain the confusing rules to you! Play at the old Panther Park at St Marys, if any of you country folk are ever keen to head in to the "big smoke" and have a game or a look PM me, my team (St Brendans) are always keen for more players. We are predominantly made up of footy players (mostly Morphett Vale and Happy Valley) and we play against teams made up of soccer players, SAAFL players, league ressies, even the Gowans boys ran around last year.

Anyhow back to the SFL Forum for me...

Sounds like good fun twisties.. Do you play on weekends or is it a social weeknight thing??

Maybe you could put together a DVD showing selected highlights from the trip and flog them off for $30 a pop? If it's anything like the video footage that :-#

Limb there is 9aside on Wednesday nights which is pretty casual, but the the 13aside State league plays Friday nights or Sunday arvos. This is also pretty casual as the majority rock up seedy as on Sundays, or via the pub on Friday nights! Great fun tho, especially putting on your best Irish accent to yell at the umps (even when you dont know the weirdo rules).

Was his face not liked on Sydney TV?
If you are to believe everything you hear and read then i wouldn't think bays would be taking him back in 09.

Not so sure there Kappars
Did a fair job and the bays last 6 weeks were very good.
The wheels well and truly fell off in the Elimination Final at Willunga so the gentleman should not be judged on just that day.
Used the juniors well

I am sure if Barry wants the job at Willunga its his!

Havent heard much in the last week, Luke Ellis down at Victor is interesting. Wonder what players he would bring with him, would little brother Dale leave the Panthers for some big $$ and dominate the GSFL?

Where did u hear that from Cuzzy? Micky Conlon? My phone hasnt rung once so there are no interstate clubs after my services and i highly doubt there would be any ringing any time soon aswell.

Hows things at the Bay? Billy Bass headin back to Adelaide will he get the gig at the Bay? Whos headin the list down there of new coaches if he doesnt get it.

A Mum or KK - I believe the cut off date for the McLaren job has passed. When will the job be announced? Surely someone somewhere will have to be appointed soon.

haha i wont be revealing anything yet. DOnt think its fair to, the coaches going for the position may be still interested in coaching their current club next year if they didnt get the bays job therefore it would be a bit of a downer naming them and then that getting leaked to their current job and then their current club getting the s%^T's on with that coach about nothing official.

did anyone think of this though, Rhett Biglands to give up tripple M and Kenny McGregor to be his assistant at the same club. 1 very lucky club could score both of these big name players. But as i said before tripple M contract to good to give up i would say
