I think Pedler played a few (1 or 2) games at the start of the season and with this in mind the 3 or so he'll get in before finals will see him qualify.

the other pedler is George, not Joe and has come from the Eagles. and i think it was last year that he played 1 or 2 games at the start of the season? so he has to play this week to qualify for finals (4 games??)

and GWW my mail is that Mypo only pay 2 or 3 players, well off the pace with the other top 4 clubs!!!

I dont think anyone would suggest Mypo is in the same ballpark as the 'big three' when it comes to player payments and good on Mypo for that reason.

You're probably right there mate. I think I heard at the start of the year they were spending up big but they lost a couple of players in Blake and Semmler (admittedly without playing a game i believe) and Eckermann is injured so presumably wouldn't be getting paid.

I think my point was more that they wouldn't have the funds of the other clubs, not so much that they were paying as many players.

Mail Medal predictions..

Postby GWW » Thu Aug 16, 2007 8:49 pm

Mail Medal predictions...

Theres a few players in with a good chance.

My prediction would be Viney from Ramblers, strong midfielder who kicks quite a lot of goals. Will have a few players such as Morris, Oneill (x2), Marchetti etc taking votes off him though so that could cost him. But hes my prediction.

Other chances:

Puckeridge from Imps, seems to get in the best a lot although he could get votes taken away from by Wait, Harrowfield and Gerardy.

Hill from Jervois, clever centreman who will do well. Ewer from the Bluds will be a chance as well although i'm not sure hes had a good a year as last year. Trevor Rigney wouldn't want to be discounted either.

My darkhorse would be Quinn from Mannum, he seemed to be a key player during Mannum's purple patch in the first half of the season. As a former winner, hes a proven vote getter.

Mypo although having a great season dont appear to have any standouts. Meningie and Tailem presumably wont have any in top 5 placegetters.

So for me: 1) Viney 2) Hill 3) Puckeridge

Interesting round with Jervois finding form in time for finals. No goalkickers listed for Jervois, presumably Mahoney or Hameiester kicked a bag. Disappointing effort by Imps, this could have a psychological impact on them in the finals.

Ramblers had a good win against an inform Mypo. Presumably Imps and Ramblers will be playing in the first final next week, should be a cracker.

Tailem will be disappointed that they didn't win the game, but 1 premiership point for the year is better than none!! Not a good year for the Eagles, but they've given some juniors some game time so they will be all the better for that.

Hameister didnt play for the Bluds. Mahoney kicked a few and Schmidt kicked four from the midfield. Bluds were harder at it than Imps who didnt look that impressive until it got into their forward lines to their three guns. I think the Bluds match up too well for Imps.

Yep cheers for that one.....

Big game this week. Who will win it... My guess is Ramblers but if imps get up it will be a massive game next week.

Is anyone going to stop the Jervois juggernaut or will they take it out again this year?? They know how to win the big games and it seems they have the wood on imps. Ramblers could be a better bet of knocking them off.
