Not looking for excuses from GSFL I reckon well done
Looking for response from River Murray League
Theres a history there of every season for the last 4 at least
there is a excuse that the GSFL have faulted in some area but the truth is the league is much stronger.

Bring back lovelock shield. southern and great southern could go at it be a better game than what both comps played in on the weekend.

I think GSFL is running scared Sledge. I personally would love to see Lovelock shield back but Southern was starting to dominate so the other leagues looked for an easier challenge. Cmon GSFL lets bring it back !!

I thought it was the HFL that Spat the dummy and stuffed up the Lovelock Shield NOT the GSFL Running Scared from Southern.

Lion heart the SFL would not be as dominate over the GSFL as the GSFL are over the RMFL. Did anyone else notice that the Hills got pumped by the Barossa in all grades bar U/15s.
I'd love to see an open age GSFL Vs SFL, I think there'd be a few suprises especially if it were played at the Bay oval.

i agree footymad, it would be a good game if it was open age.
i went and watched southern saturday night and they were quick, bachmann, walton vick and co were just too slick for there opposition. pretty impressive until they realised the game was over and then they stopped.
great southern from all reports were jus too good.
want to see lovelock shield back, or at least southern and great southern, open age. would be great to see!!!

just browsing am from SFL interesting to see you pick Victor to beat Strath
Victor picked up Hodge & Dickson from our way but did they get anyone else, Saucy (coach) hasnt got a good repore in this league and around South either, have they improved from last year and have Strath fallen away in 07

Strathalbyn Roosters are a bunch of Front Running Soft Cocks that are satisfied with a win Here and there so its No Big deal to see them beaten coming off a Win as they are more Interested in Reading the OverKill coverage of themselves in the local paper.

I see Portlock is back at Willunga after pulling the pin at South Adelaide. Can anyone shed any light on why he turned his back on the Panthers?? BJ Ernest might know something about it, he seems to know a fair bit about what goes on at Willunga.

How long will it be before Ben Thompson is back out of retirement...

According to the GSFL website EB are 5th, Langhorne Creek are undefeated on top with 9 wins and a percentage at least double Mount Compass who are second.
Can you see Langhorne's not winning the premiership? I can't!

Limby can you please provide me with my AFL tips for the remainder of the season - I am getting crucified all the while you are tearing it up with your GSFL tips.

So Willunga have called on Thompson (the bloke who told everyone he had retired and it was definate!) to return and would be peeing there pants at the sight of Portlock. This will be interesting - does Willunga have that little faith in the blokes that played the first half the year? Are they not willing to continuing moulding a Thompson replacement?

L/Creek are an awesome team when in full flight, there run and the way in which they peel off from behind play is great to watch. They are however not unbeatable and I predict they will drop a couple of games prior tp September as teams begin to work them out. Fitness and injury cluds for the Bay saw them go down after a brilliant first half of football on Saturday.

Tips for this weekend lads?
Any other news/rumours from around the traps?

highly unlikely willunga were peeing there pants when portlock came back.
thompson not definitely back as yet, came to training to have a run that is all at this stage.

langhorne creek are a good running side thats for sure, and without josh king at the moment are still travelling very nicely. second half of the season will be very interesting!!!
