Haha bit of a waste of time really, surely shifting the U/12's with an average weight of 50kg can't be the answer to fixing Mt Barker's oval! Too little too late. No games should be played there, maybe an infection to Nunan might wake you blokes up! Not worth the risk. But i for one do sincerely hope Onkas enjoy playing there    I would have to pick the roos for this week, their bigger and slower blokes are heavily favoured by the mud pit, not sure the Onkas running game, very similar to that of Ironbanks is the game required!

Jail Bird is your club going to fix the drainage problems in the showers for the Onkas lads?

SnB, we have 2 u12, 4 u10 and 2 u8 at the club it is not just the one junior team we are talking about here, then add the main four teams a,b,sc and jc, there is 12 teams running around utilising the oval. I am not saying it is the answer but is a contributing factor. The 4 main teams train twice a week too, meaning 16 teams are using it during the week alone excluding saturdays.
I can only name 3 'big and slower' blokes that played on saturday so I don't know where you get you info from.
Regarding the showers/bath I was not aware of the problem but will be looking into it tomorrow when I do some work deliveries.

Massive game of the round at Devil Park. Have to say it will be close, especially for a Lofty home game. Not only for the Courier Cup but I think the team that gets up will have the keenly desired "psychological advantage". Especially since the first game was a bit of fizzler after Uri's got the early jump. If they get up they will have one hand on the Premiership Cup I think. Despite that I am going the Devils by less than a goal. They have had the wood on the Cabbage there for the last few games and I am backing that trend.
Wood over the Water by around 3-4 goals.
Birdwood v Hahndorf would be one of the Chooks best chances this year but the Maggies by 5 goals.
IBank over Lobey in a canter.
And on one of the most hotly debated surfaces in the state.......Barker over Onkas in another boilover on the Dung Heap.

For an interstater as well.....how is the weather shaping up for the weekend? It could play a part in a couple of games namely the top of the table clash and the Mud Buster special.

Nice post bernie you big black panther addict!

For me, I think the Devs will win comfortably at home.

From the devs cabbage rivalry perspective however, I'd love to see those inbreds go undefeated to the GF and have the devs knock them off in a thriller. That would stick it up that smoker Sutherland!!!

Hills#fan wrote:G'day fellas, ive been reading the forums for a few months and finally decided to register cause a few ppl were saying they wanted representatives from every club. My club is onka's so hopefully i can give some input for our fine club. Firstly just want to clear something up about the incident on the weekend reagrding negative comments from onka's supporters to a Lofty player. As i understand it the group of indivuduals making the racial comments have been spoken to sternly by the club officials and immediately after the incident ocured our senior players made sure to appologise to the Lofty player on behalf of everyone at onka's - props to him for not taking further action. Collo also spoke to the players about the incident at training and we were all pretty embarassed and dissapointed about the behaviour of the supporters in question; please dont judge the club as a whole for the actions of these individuals as they certainly dont represent them.

BTW my tips are - Blackwood, Hahndorf, Lofty (if they start well), Onkas, Ironbank.

Will let you know how the surface at Mt barker goes this weekend

Welcome on board HF!
Good to have an Onkas contributor. Look forward to your wrap from Sat. Good luck with the mud!

Yeah, good to have an Onkas POV, HF. Nice timing...don't wanna talk about the Lofty game
Good on your players and staff for doing what they did re the small group of supporters, commendable.

Rain will suit Lofty I think. More in and under type players though Uris aren't lacking in that department. And HF, good luck in the mud, the rain will play havoc with the Dung Heap.

Stay away from the Black Panther DA.....it's a jungle out there!

Could an IB person PM me the Ins/Outs for As and Bs this week, couldnt hang around for selection last night

On tips, dont be surprised if Barker get up over Onkas, might check out the TAB, wonder what odds there at?

On the barker oval issue, i have a (conspiracy?) theory, Barker obviously want to move out of that hell hole asap so there watering the oval at night, clogging there drains on purpose, so that plenty of noise is created about how poor the conditions are and that the coucil should help them relocate! :D

Hills Fan I think its encouraging to hear some intelligent mature comments from someone from Onkas. Good work .

I think its important for Lofty people to understand that the comments came from intoxicated spectators not players or coaching staff.

Lofty over Uraidla by 3 goals.

This 'fast start' jargon is getting a bit repetitive... starting to sound more like a pre-match excuse... Giggles all round if the Devs are in front at half time & get pipped!

LP - You'd have more chance of getting the Pres's pin number than the Lofty changes for the big clash this week, applaud your efforts though...

Should be a cracker game, wish they'd play these CC Finals for A grade on a Sunday so the majority could get out to see the spectacle.

Lofty my tip @ home if they take the field 'awake' & play 100mins of footy like Uri's will.

Turn it up!
You guys don't need help to beat Lobey!
2 Old - it may be repetitive but it's warranted. That's all that'd stand between Lofty and a win, IMHO.
