Is that box next to the Bilney's and Brayden Calderwood's? Score Fri Night was 3-2 Shields way in a cracking game played in good spirits. Jake Sampson was good on the mound for Shields as was Jay for us just a couple of errors at the wrong times cost us the game. Shields very clean in the field. Think we worked out after the game there were 6 Kids on the diamond under 22 years old so all in all pritty happy. Friday nights will see us a bit stronger for most of the year. How did you guys go today Zoo. Hope Grub managed to find a photo opportunity or two. Nothing like catching the big Zoo on film in all his glory.

Thats a bad loss Zoo. Coyotes had to come good at some point i suppose. Harvey having a super season so far and if he can get some run support regularly the Dogs could be dark horses. Sould be a fair chance on Sunday against us as we will be a few down again. Harvey and Pobke could fight out B & F honors if their form continues. Shame lossing Dylan for the holiday period. 12 game season means 5 wins should be enough to make it. Shields already on 4 with Indians on 2 and Saints and Coyotes 1 each. Big week next week.

We got belted at Buckleboo on Sat. Chasing 315 was always going to be hard, congrats to J. Tiller on his knock, 156 no of 26 overs. The 2 Frost boys bowled well for us, so did Haje, (nearly died while doing it)! sorry mate. Batting started well, 0/84 after 7, but fell in a hole quickly. All out 152 in the 26th. Thanks to the Kimba boys for the use of the showers afterwards, much needed & greatly appreciated. Should never have played in that heat tho, totally rediculous! Congrats to Ash Gray too, 96 at Kimba, (you'll get there eventually mate!).

Waybacks beat Tasmans by about 25 runs, Tod River beat Charlton by about the same.

Boys Boys Boys - What is this crap going around the baseball traps that "WILKO" is the best player in Lincoln ????? - I mean don't get me wrong the boy can play the game i mean you just ask him and he will tell you. The year is looking like it could be anyones premiership as no-one has concreted themselves as firm favourites - shields are the front runners but always leave you asking the question did we let that game slip away or were we beaten by a better team ???? - Coyotes / Saints & Indians will battle on throughout the remainder of the season and one of these teams or maybe two will click at the right time and could quite easily take the whole thing out - who knows baseball is a funny game - i mean we are seeing people bunt with three strikes on them - players drop kicking helmets - EP/STATE All Star players making simple fundemental fielding errors - teams not turning up to do their umpiring duties, its all going downhill - i mean the next step will be to be one of the only regional leagues to go to WOODEN BATS and turn our already dying game in to more of a non spectator sport - oh no hang on we've already done that !!!! - Here's a pop quiz for all you baseballers out there -- WHAT CAN WE DO TO PROMOTE OUR GAME MORE AND HOW CAN WE GET MORE PEOPLE INVOLVED ????? - I look forward to your responses...

Oh and one more thing ------ COYOTES FOR PREMIERS IN "2006" (HA HA HA)

when we get our home ground at Ravendale we will get better. we have plenty of players to come into our lineup. ozzie dont write us off wehave the best 2 pitchers in Harvey and Wilky.
The problem with baseball is the people running it.

Harvey can definitely come up with the goods most weeks but wilko seems to have lost the sting and passion for the game which he used to have when he was at shields - maybe it wasn't such a good move for him ??

Another quality comment. Did you put your hand up to run the league?

One of the problems with baseball is players expecting everything to be done for them and that they don't have to do anything in return. ie umpiring, being on the committee, doing a stint in the canteen, etc. Things will only get worse if this kind of attitude from clubs continues.

ozzie he left because shields is run by people who dont know what they are doing.
He left shields for good reasons, something you will find out about soon enough.
we do enough at coyotes. we pay to get in that oval and then have to work. c'mon dont think so.
by the way my chips were frozen in the middle the other night.

Coyote - surely the $2.00 charge is not to outlandish to get in?? and as for working in the canteen "you do know you dont pay for your first hamburger while your in there don't you ???" we could play cricket but that might be more of a financial burden on us as i think you have to pay $ 3.00 just for the umpires - i do hear where you are coming from though !!!!
