Can't see Onkas getting anywhere near Lofty just quietly. I think the Devils proved against Ironbank they're once again the team to beat this year, except for Uraidla maybe. However I think the Devs will prove too strong when the two sides next meet, esspecially with a few key players coming back in. Have Uraidla had any injury troubles this year?

Also, how is Matt Penny going out at Onkas?

The Two's.

Postby Joe » Fri Jul 06, 2007 12:45 am

I have noticed there is often plenty of discussion re the Two's in this forum. The Devils, Thunderers, Uris etc. Might be time to watch out for the Tigers. Their A's have no chance, but the Twos are in and round the 5, might be time to start "dropping a few back". Could get interesting, they could put a spanner in the works.

Sorry mate, Loby are shitehouse. We beat Loby even when we were shit in the 2's. I always looked forward to playing Loby except when I tackled your fat ass ruckman and he broke my arm landing on it.

Good luck though.

Yeah, sorry Joe. Lobey are nowhere near the mark in B's either. Blackwood will beat them and take their spot in the 5, leaving Lobey with no seniors in the finals.
Who would they drop back that could even make them competitive enough for a B grade flag? Their A's are WAY off the pace...literally.
Devs, ironbank and Uris are miles ahead in the Magoos.

Anyone confirm Stringer got 2 games suspended sentence..

this is joke..

No wonder players/clubs/supporters have lost repect for the "system"and the HFL..

How would the nairne boys feel...after their officals got suspended

good on the umpy who had the ballls to report him..only to be let down by the tribunal..

Am I missing something..or...please put me right on this!!!

Sorry, I have to disagree with you JQ, DA and TWE. I thought Lobey put up a pretty decent fight against the Devs, they were by no means our easiest victory in the twos. I wouldn't be surprised if they snuck a few borderline players down to the B's and pulled off a few victories.

I was of the understanding that Stringer himself was manhandled by the Nairne player before Stringer manhandled the player back. Apparently the umpire who red carded him was not the controlling umpire, that is he was viewing from 50-100m away so probably really didn't see the whole incident. Fair enough to report him, you can't have coaches/officials interfering with players but at the end of the day 2 match suspended sentence is probably fair for what I was told was really a non event.

It is not like he kicked the door down to the umpires room after the game and threatened the umpires...............

So it was definitely a club 'official' at Nairne (and not the coach) then? Knowing the coach very well it would most certainly be way out of character for him to do such a thing...

Agree on the outcomes, it would seem that the time fits the crime if these incidents occurred as reported AT.

Apologies for not being up-to-speed with this, but did Nairne 'officials' attempt to kick in the door of the umpires room after a game?!

Would have to agree that Ironbank, Mt. Lofty and Uraidla are way too strong in the two's. All three teams have many potential A graders, with the likes of S. Broadbridge for lofty, P Sodomka for Ironbank the quality of these teams is the best ive seen in the two's possibly ever!

Would be surprised not to see an Ironbank Lofty Grand Final!

Well that is what I heard from a couple of different sources but we all know how chinese wispers work.

But yeah, I think it sounds pretty fair. What is silly about it is that Stringer was red carded, no longer allow to participate in the game. That just meant he coached from behind the fence sitting with the spectators. If he got suspended, his name would not be put on the team sheet but how do you stop someone from coaching from the fence?

Spearhead, have to agree mate, lobe are the only game that ive actually been seriously worried about being beaten this yr. against blackwood and IB, we were definately challenged but wasnt overly concerned. mind you we also just happened to play pretty badly against the tiges. but when it comes down to it whoever makes the top 5 can win the GF. couple of yrs ago we won from 3rdhaving not beaten barker in the season. i dont see blackwoods side as good as their finals side last yr (we know the reason for this) but still think wed have dealt with them, and we have a better side this yr.

Wouldn't like to comment on the Stringer incident or even the Nairne "door" incident as I'm not privy to all the details. Would however like to say that in response to a post I made about 3 pages back about one of our players getting unnecessarily red carded, when it went to the tribunal on Wednesday night, the umpire admitted that he made a mistake and the player concerned doesn't have to sit out the usual one game that you get for being red carded.

Keep an eye out for a young footballer making his debut for the season this year for Ironbank. Suffers from an illness called Primodial Dwarfism, has to be seen to be believed. Has lost nearly all his hair at a young age. Is good skilled, quick, and plays tall for his pathetic height. Look out Mt Barker you are about to see the Peanus Legged, Turbo Hipped Bald Barnard in action. \:D/ =D> :-$ :-({|= :supz:

[quote="magpie in the 80's"]CENTRAL:
July 7th-Round 11

Blackwood v Lobethal
Hahndorf v Bridgewater
Uraidla Dist v Birdwood
Mt Barker v Ironbank

Onka Valley v Mt Lofty (Sunday)

C'mon, Magpie! I didn't think we were at all deterring the new users. It'd be awesome to have input from all clubs. I thought some of us were being honest in posting that Lobey B's aren't a force.
Anyhoo...
In regards to the above draw...
Blackwood by a lot...18 goals.
Bridgewater...yes, it hurts but I think Hahndorf are very susceptible.
Uraidla...by not as much as people think, maybe 108 points.
Ironbank by not too much.
