His technique and patience will serve him well in those 2 day games. From memory, games are 100 overs per side. Bloody long day when you chase leather all day in 35degree heat..

Yep, he has been selected in the side!! He's a bit worried about fielding second in one game for 100 overs, then turn up the next day, lose the toss and have to field another 100 overs back to back in stifling heat!!

On the contrary Bystander, advised Ash @ 9am this morn that Chook Fauser & Richard Dawe available, T.Dodd dead keen & trying to get out of work Sat morn. Josh Mahoney back from uni for few weeks & keen for a run in the B's.Most others working Sat morn. Myself & Hogan would've gone but can't knock back a sheep & pig on the spit (sheep is just for Hogan!) along with 6 hours of all & anything you can drink on Uncle Sam's account! Won't have to work too hard to get us out Sun WAD!

Good to hear Snozza. Does anyone know where & when we meet to travel up?

I did that Panther.. We played Victoria, got bowled out in the 75th over and with 3 overs lost for changeover we had 22 overs at them that night then bowled 100 at them the next day.. They made 400 plus.. We then fronted up the following day and yep in the field for another 100 against WA.. 222 overs in the field and hot days... You start to wonder whether its all worth it.

All the best Eags...

The double header at shields will be good this sunday..... no one can hit out to the middle of the ground in baseball anyway....

All the best to Hank Swalue who heads off Thursday to live in Adelaide.

Timmy vs Shannon should be good to watch again. Both of them need to start looking after their catchers tho.

Copy that Haloman.

Should be interesting out at Dorward on sunday with Toddies playing Charlton in the cricket and Coyotes v Indians in the baseball. Cut down on the km's grub has to travel for the day anyway!

The baseballers and the cricketers could swap bats and make the games more interesting. Its certainly one way to attract a crowd to Sunday baseball.

Bystander, Ash said we will meet at the front of the Northern Hotel at 7:30am sat morning but this still to be confirmed. We might need to leave earlier to get to 10am start.

Ben Smith is out, Tyson Dodd is unavailable, Matt smith unavailable so there are 24 remaining players so we don't need anyone else to pull out as we need to fill two sides. One player left out of the training squad was Rainbow Whillas! Leading wicket taker last year and now not in top 24 players.

WAD, disappointing you can't make it up to Kimba. Be interesting to see who can't make it sat but plays club cricket on sunday.

Lets have a look at which teams have contributed to next weeks henderson shield teams Lincoln South 3 players, Tasman 2 players, SES 2 players , Waybacks 8 players , Charlton 5 players, Tod River 4 players.

Training Squad? :? To my knowledge Rainbow was selected in the 2nd 11, but declined on the basis of lack of form. So WHERE is training?

Just in case anyone is wondering, I am unavailable on sat for henderson shield because it is my son's 4th birthday. normally I would go and love playing up bush but it would be a bit mean to spend all day at kimba and not see the little fella. Good luck to the lads that go, nice to see plenty of waybackers keen to make themselves available as usual.

Not sure bystander. I don't think we will have one. Just have to make sure eveyone is available and there is enough transport to get everyone up there.

Haje, your in the team as is Donga, Blighty, Boerema from Tod River. Ash Gray will let you know which team if you call him.

The teams weren't listed in the Times but 27 player names which has since gone down to 24 I think.

Also our game on Sunday has been moved to the High School...
