Good Wrap Up TDU.
Yes Wendelborn shouldve kicked more than 4 missing some easy set shots and started up forward then moved into ruck and provided a spark then on the ball int he last qtr and one of the best qtrs of footy you could see someone play. Literally took 5 mark of the year contenders. No exageration there! Can't wait for the dvd this week to watch it.

Yeah I heard a similar story - not sure of details though. Apparently he had to coach from outside the fence!!!

Those Stringer guys are absolute tools!!

any c grade scores from sunday boys ?
good tough gutsy win by ironbank on sat in both as and bs .. this is a sign of the improvment this year in the a grade blackwood fought back in the middle 2 quaters and got in front in previous years they would have rolled over and lost by 10 but led by helmet and muffy in the last the boys ran all over the woods get job lads .
for those who bagged muffy last week u should have seen him sat had been sick all week and started of the bench but when the game was on the line he was on fire super last quater :D :D
one last thing interesting to see ben badenoch and matt golding playing bgrade on the weekend are they injured or is pagey stacking the bs now !!

Can confirm Stringer was red carded and had to leave the playing arena.... As i understand he was reported for roughing up or manhandling a Nairne player not for punching him.....I hope Big O and the committee have the kahunas to do something about him...we cant have coaches etc physically intimidating the opposition...it is far worse than players having a crack at each other!!

Any of you IB boys let us know the outcome of the report from the Lofty match??

IB easy win over Uraidla to remain undeafted, maxy newson kicked another bag... of points :p ended up with 4.11 but it will probably be 4.20 by thurs night at training :D Gilly and Brooker best. Impressive performance by a few of the U17 lads in the Cs aswell

Onkas got up by 4-5goals over Lofty to go to 2nd on the Cgrade ladder and should be in the GF to face IB

Heard your brother might be pulling on the boots elephant to debut in the C's? Must be tempted to do the same?

M80s can confirm the Kersbrook v TV contest was incident free and well umpired. Ryan Battams for TV is a dirty little sniper, but the rest are fine.

Stringer is a real winner, isn't he. Don't ever reckon Brett James would carry on like such a tool.

Blackwood surely gone. I have heard that leg speed is a real issue for the turtle and his boys. Gigney toweled up for the first time this year- makes a big difference. Blackwood would be very disappointed- all pre season talk was about top 3 spot- must now be at risk of not making 5 at all! Carberry will have to get back and stand tall up forward for them to be any chance in second half of year.

Nah, think the dream is over. Francou has signed up, and I think Roger was trying to get Dewy signed up last week before June 30. Francou has Radio and Dewy now has television commitments. Dewy trained with us 2 weeks ago, and while the two are good mates with Roger, I don't think they'll play. We just need blokes over 6 foot!!

Echunga were certainly far too good for us on Saturday. Maybe it's a match up issue but I would have to say Echunga is the best side we've come up against this year and they are going to be hard to beat in September on big, wide dry ovals where there band of fleet footed runners will flourish.
Was a case of the usual suspects doing the damage for Echunga with Lynn, Dodd, Rowsell and other quicker on baller types doing most of the damage.
We had an incident on Saturday where one of our players was yellow carded for mouthing off and the player genuinely didn't hear or see (was more concerned with manning up, so wasn't facing the umpire) the yellow card so the umpire thought he was deliberately ignoring him and issued him with a red card instead!!!

Cougar - remember a chat earlier this season re something along the lines of Francou not making it out onto the field...I don't think you believed me at the time

But it's good that you're a bit of a realist! Your boys seem to not be doing not-too-badly any case.

Can anyone tell me how Bridgey ended withinin 5 goals of Uri's? And I won't accept the whole 'it's Bridgey oval' reason!
And why the hell is the Onkas Lofty game on a Sunday this w/end?

JQ - before the lights went in at Heathfield didn't Lofty play a couple of Sunday games during the season? Mt Lofty trying to increase gate/bar/canteen takings by playing when everyone else isn't.......been doing it for quite a few years now I thought.........good luck to 'em.

Bridgey/Uri's - there probably isn't any other reason other than Bridgewater Oval. They seem to grow another leg there no matter who they are playing and tend to drag any other team down to their level. There is always a few "surprise" results at Bridgewater through a season when really they probably aren't that much of a surprise.

Army - ooh, that's when I woulda been playing, but I'm not sure if we hosted Sunday games.
So would 'gate takings' be the reason Onkas want to host on the Sunday? Could work I guess.

Who would man the camera any way? speaking of which, did you get my mark in the last quarter? Probably the first time I have been of the ground since u17's!
