Sorry for a change up, but was reaing on another thread that it appears PLFL will be losing a few players eg S Horgan, Parker, Gregory, B Murphy...all to SANFL.
Big losses for MR and Waybacks. Early days, but will they be covered?
Can these teams afford to lose players to the Tigers, and well-meaning as it is??

OL - you still make no sense whatsoever.
You'd be a gobbler from way back...gobble, then continue to dribble sh#t.
A simple "I have no idea" would have sufficed.

A good game of cricket was played at poole oval saturday against Charlton. We had them 4 for F--k all at drinks, and it was good to see a young lad like Jimmy Stockham get in behind the ball early and do the hard yards.I was very impressed in the way he dug deep and i could clearly hear him talking to himself from first slip to stay focussed and built a very good innings for himself and the team(impressive).I like the look of young Keasty, looks solid and with a bit of confidence, some good scores will only be around the corner for him.The only criticism i have and please dont take offence to this as i hope it is taken as constructive criticism,i would like to see the two opening bowlers from Charlton learn how to grow thick skins and grit their teeth, both have huge potential of being any captains dream bowling team, but at the moment TO WIDE,TO SHORT and consequently when its punished the body language says it all and poor Ash Gray has to go to plan B.Im no bowler and dont pretend to be, but being an opening batsman i get to look at them every week,i hope before STIFFY throws in the towel, that you both watch him carefully each time you play SES,the rare 4ball he does bowl, you can guarantee he grits his teeth every time and will follow up with some of the most unplayable balls.
I know you will be reading this bystander and please pass this onto them as i would love to be able to have sleepless nights before each game against Charlton, like i use to when Andy Hutchins and Jim Schrapel bowled for Charlton years ago.

Rossco will need to be busy this summer if the following outs are correct at Waybacks

Minya - Darwin
Boags - recon
Gregory - Sturt
Moore - Cricket world cup then moving back to Vic
Romeo - Yeelanna with Tablets is the latest
Harders - Uni
Horgan - only what Diaz noted on previous page, I hadn't heard anything
Polkinghorne - Bostons

There is no way they can replace that much talent in one year, with Rangers also set to lose a few (although H Parker's brother has been signed) the premiership race could be wide open in 2007. Souths are reportedly very active on the recruiting front and the cup could be won between now and April!!

If the top two teams were to lose a few it would even up the comp a bit... which would be good for the lower teams.... whats happening with the consortium? will it happen... have u signed wcp?

Grub Sundays Coyotes vs Saints clash was won by Saints 7-1. Both sides are stuggling for numbers and shouldn't cause to many worries for the Shields and Indians boys. Coyotes are in heaps of trouble at the minute and hopefully they can find a few more soon. We have a heap of young guys who are talented but a little unreliable and Sunday's will be a problem for us all season. A few of our young guys work at Coles and Sunday trading hours will not help us. Chris Hester pitched probably his best game for the club but its a bit hard to gauge how good he actually was against that type of opposition. This week against Indians should be interesting with second spot up for grabs and the two of us probably fighting it out for the double chance for the rest of the season. Changing to Wooden bats has certainly made a difference with only well hit balls now being base hits. Thankfully no more pitiful little bleeders putting runners on making for closer games and lower scores. Interested in hearing from Haje and Zoo Poo as to how their finding it.

haloman we played as bad as we could have friday night. and lost 5-3 with only 2 safe hits.going to wood bats is only going to speed up the death of the sport.lets ask grub for odds on first player to hit a home run this year if any?

Yeah Zoo Poo I noticed your nice missed bunt attempt Friday night, not the bats fault that!

I do agree with you though, the wooden bats are not going to make for any big hitting spectacles that's for sure. Fair enough if someone was pitching at 90 mph but I don't think anyone in the league could even hit 70mph! It was a good feeling when you mashed one with the old aluminium bats and got to trot around the bases. Now you mash one and have to actually run around the bases.

Yes zoo's bunt will go down as one of my best sporting moments I have ever seen.... absoloutly burnt the base runner coming home....
vaguely remember you getting K2'd haje.... JJ does pitch at 100mph tho!!!

Nothing could speed up the death of the game Zoo. It dosen't need any help. Wood bats are OK if you've got a competion full of good hitters and quick pitchers. We haven't got either with only a few decent hitters going around and no one throwing 70+ mph as Haje said. What the hell is JJ doing putting the bunt on you Zoo. Should have told him to f__k off! Didn't get a photo of it Grub? Wilky got struck out in the B grade by a junior pitcher if that makes you feel any better.  :D

SES to be decimated by unavailability this week, Toddies should get their season off to a flying start. No T Coombes, Ben Smith, David Doudle, Jules Doudle, Stiffy, Squeeza, Dusty or the flashy shirts.....

Again, to anyone reading that may be feeling a little stale at their current footy club or feels like taking on the mother of all challenges at the Tigers, send me a PM just to register your interest. I've had a couple of very interesting and quality nibbles via PM from players that don't normally post on here, showing their interest in a move!!

there is no way I would be writing us off yet, with players of the calibre of Cummings, Reidy, Arnell and Crompton plus possibly a return of Ozzie Luke to come back we will be around the mark. Wilkinson is yet to take the mound. How did Hester pitch a one-hit game? our batting was awful against a B grade pitcher plus the umpiring was shocking.
The average age of our outfield last game was 45. We were short due to dirt circut. We are a lot better than saints.
