I see Kadina are trying to organise a round robin carnival for the 20th of March probably similar to the Loxton one. I think they are limiting it to six sides though. We won't be playing in it but its good thinking to try to raise some cash before the season starts.

Think they'll need it too this year, with a few Eagles 2's players heading back and having retained Faulkner, Searle, and Brown (though doing pre-season with Centrals).

Maybe they will need it, who knows. Like I said though its a good idea it just doesn't suit us to be involved. I heard that they only invited 14 teams to begin with so perhaps they just invited the YPFL teams plus most of the APFL and a couple from the NEFL and NAFA.

Other than us I'm not sure. Perhaps someone from Kadina like Westy might know a little more.

I heard they were doing something like that. Didnt know they have gone as far as inviting clubs to play. I dont like the thought of a round robin at home, players dont gain much from it. I tell you what! Kadina would need the extra money to pay these young eagles blokes, when there getting more then double a game what Faulkner gets. they'd wanna play like champions for that type of money.

Am I correct in saying the Eagles missed out on some handy blokes (3 or 4) from the city? Gone to Barmera instead!

Maybe he is just training at Mallala because it is close to home instead of travelling to Kadina all the time?
