Coaching

Postby mail man » Tue Oct 05, 2010 5:05 pm

there is always plenty of speculation about Jervois and Mannuns coach. But how about imps? I mean they have been recruiting heavily for years under Tony. ITs a seven team competition and if your spending money every year your gonna win a flag or two unless your meningie. Lets be honest imps with the teams they have had shouldve one more flags than the couple they got! I cant believe he coached the B grade this year! Is he that good in his mind that he doesnt need help? Does no one want to work with him? Are imps spending all there money on players and cant afford coaches? Will imps. look around this year for other options?

Imps havent been as succesful as they have wanted to but. Mannum have also spent alot of $$ and have a very good coach an havent got the premiership when they should of, but i am not hear to bag coaches out because it would be the hardest job, i have been a player at imps thru Tony and before him aswel, and i will say he is the best coach i have had, i played a few A grade games under him and last year as a B grader under him.
Imperials have all coaching postions open for people to apply to, no one is appointed UNTILL everyone is looked at.
Tony fits the build imperials are looking for, we havent gorn out an recruited heavily, we have players coming to the club to play with mates. They are throwing $$ around but not the amounts that have been mentioned, highest payed player is $500 and not mentioning the name but only had to pay that amount about 6 times this season due to them not playing.
The reason Tony coaches A grade and B grade is because then he can help people get into the A grade squad.
The 2 teams train together on tuesdays an on thursdays he then gets 22 A graders and David Schncher takes the B graders, with this he can then monitor both teams and work out who is the best fit, witht his he can help the younger guys in b grade improve there skills to get to A grade.
The Avg Age in the Imperials Reserves is around 22,
Avg Age in Imperials A Grade is around 24-25

So do not count imperials out, they are coming into a new era, the era of Seyers, Shiell, Temby, Lienert, Newell, Wise that was 2000-2007

This team imperials have wont change much in next 3 years so get used to the names of, Tom Hines, L.Harrowfield, Wait, Honner, Quast, Samblich, these are just some of the names that are Imperial players that will HOPEFULLY hit sucess with a few premierships in next 5 yrs.

Tony Fielke in my eyes is the best man for the job, get him another modern senior coach to help him out with BOTH grades as this is the best thing for the Juniors coming thru.

Ok footywizz81. I got bored half way through. I even think that the guy who you refer to David Schencher believes he is more suited to the job. Thats why he nearly went to the Bluds a few years ago. My mail for tonight is that Chris Ladhams to coach bluds next year . Thirty Grand player coach. Few mates with him White coulter etc. signed sealed delivered.

You sure that figure is correct MM ???. Lots of beers and steak sandwiches needed to be sold. One thing I can say is I always buy a steak sandwich best in the league only just.

i got bored reading your spill on IMPS to footwiz81. Imps would be disappointed not making the A grade grandfinal.
As far as modern coaches go D Schenscher RMFL coach & D Garrett just coming out of a fantastic playing career. So I would have thought they have a very good coaching panel. Like the mailman said D Schenscher was approached to coach the BLUDS last year & D Garrett has a few clubs chashing him now to coach.

I reckon he'd be mid 30's. I think he played in country Vic last year with Hargraves and Ladhams.

only blokes in the ramblers team that would/could chase $$$ are.

Button (dunno, but very doubtful)
Kaye (dunno)
L. O'neil (will never leave)
P. O'neil (will never leave)
Giradi (only got a year or 2 too go, and wouldnt leave)
Viney (doubt he'll play next year)
Dougal (dads the coach. no brainer)
Pfiffer (wouldnt leave)
Weyland (will never leave)
Jackson (wouldnt leave unless worked moved him)
A. Button (who knows. would doubt many would pay much for him?)

the top 2 are the only ones who could ask what they wanted and are worth it. the others are rambler people and will never leave. the rest of the team are good but not worth the $$$ imo

Consider what (reportadly) Waterhouse was on $1200 a game- Even if Ladhams was say $1000 a game 18 games=$18,000 then say 12k for coaching, not out of the question I guess $-)
