THE WEEKEND WASHUP.

CENTRAL:

good workout for ironbank against the maggies to run out winners by only 20 points
uraidla still undefeated with a comfortable 35 point win over blackwood
as expected a massacare with mt.lofty beating birdwood by 21.20
my smokey mt.barker defeat bridgey by 151 points
but the biggest upset in talking scores onkas beat Slowbethal by 155 points
all in all if you know your local footy you should have got 5/5

COUNTRY:

kersbrook merely go on their way with another training run to win by 115 points
meadows comfortably over maccy by 72 points
t/valley a struggling 17 point win over blackwood's real "B" grade
echunga demmmmoooooooolllllissssssssshhhhed gums. atkinson 10, lawrence 8. the type of score i thought lofty would have kicked
kangarilla just another training run also defeat the eagles by plenty
as said in central wrap not hard to pick 5/5

Very interesting game in the B grade this week between Mt Lofty and Ironbank. IB on fire with one of the most potent forward lines in B. Smith and G. Davey the big targets. With B. Thomas crumbing everything in sight. He kicked 3 goals in 5 mins in 2nd qtr. Very solid back line that gives gr8 run and a very damaging midfield wih Sadomka, Bawden, Schmidt, Flaherty.

Well Done to young Rhys Lacey playing first A grade game yesterday. Very solid game at halfback. Gave away nothing and very poised when getting the ball. Kept Alf Stephens to nothing in 2nd half and consequently had him taken off.

Weird game to play in in the A's. IB jst went through the motions which was little dissapointing. Hahndorf fought very well and hit in hard and were up by 4 goals b4 half time but in the end IB got their game together and their hardness at the ball and run was telling. Was pitch black at half time almost. Thank god it had lights. Not sure how the other grounds were affected?

"If you kick 4 and get 2nd best for the association team, you play A grade the following week regardless of training etc."

If you dont train you dont play A grade. Its that simple. Its a team game not about individuals.

You stick to standing on the balcony yelling stuff out at blokes from 50 metres away.

Chappy has a good reason for not training - work commitments. Why should that preclude him from playing if he's good enough (which he clearly is)? He trains when he can and he's got heart.

I really resent that last comment too. I trained and tried as hard if not harder than anyone. I was ALWAYS there training, doing extra running, weights etc. INJURY was the reaon I was on the balcony.

If I could have been out there, I would have.

So don't comment about things you know nothing about you fukcwit.

You guys turning on each other at devil land? I hear not everyone is a fan of Raper (whoops, missed a p). Which may be why big Ben Gordon isn't rushing to get back. Does coach have a hardon for Floriani or has the guy been playing well? always in the best players?? back handed way of paying a bloke???
Uris looked good on sat, accounted for Blackwood comfortably.

Is the B. Atkinson who kicked 10 goals for Echunga ex SANFL and AFL Legend Brodie Atkinson??? I reckon it might be because he is mates with current Echunga coach Michael Bawden from their time together at Sturt. That is a fair effort for a bloke who hasnt played footy in a while... Also not a bad effort considering he is an assistant coach at West Adelaide... who knows he might be in line for a game of Reserves at Westies because they are STRUGGLING...
