Had an ACL recon 2 weeks ago. Will be spending quality time on the hill next year so they should be hiring more bar staff, not sacking them.

Shite, when did you do that? Hope the recovery all goes well for you, I did no rehab what so ever and probably got lucky with mine seemingly back to normal. AK will tell a different story though as can Luke Yancic. Hope your back out for 2008 mate......

Can anyone confirm that DR will be moving on from the WFC?

Can't help you there, WCP. But just got confirmation that this Abel fella is a gun CHB. Straight from a Raggies player.
Just what that strugling Ramblers outfit needed, hey?
Needless to say, this Raggies player was none to happy to lose Abel...this forum was one step ahead of what he knew!

1st minute of the GF. Dr Peter Larkins special comments role isn't under threat from the peanut in the Rangers box who was yelling out 'kick him in the ankle' when i tried to come back on. Commentators Cactus and Bish also need to work on their diagnostic skills if they are to have any hope of being poached by the major networks.

Brian has made contact with Luke as he knows the family from Adelaide and apparently he is willing to listen to what we have to offer which sounds promising. The relationship Brian has with Dom is good and talks will continue.
The big news that I will break is that Troy Hull will captain the side next year. Great work by TP to sign such a quality footballer and quality person. It is great to sign him early and gives us a solid base to build on. We can only hope more follow. The Turnball lads look like they will stay up there as Leigh Watherston is going travelling next year. Brett Watherston has shown interest but its not him we have to convince. Trent Polkinghorne looks certain to sign.
Tom Caulfield who does not see eye to eye with coach Owen is close to signing with us which would give us a good defender.
If anyone is interested the Summer Social Football on Friday nights at Poole Oval needs more participants. It is a way the club is looking at getting people through the doors and possibly/hopefully being a good source of a recruit or two. A special mention must go to Gordon and Troy for the terrific work they are doing there.
Will there be any baseball at Poole this year?

All in all I think we are on the right track

Dom to the Tigers...hope that's not to the detriment of the D's.
And well done to Hully, admirable move.

Not to my knowledge Tiger, was chatting to the Tod River boys after cricket last week, said that all baseball will be played at Dorward this season, perhaps Haje or Haloman can confirm that.

yep your right Boags, have to admit I called the 'obvious' hamstring when I saw you lunge towards the gas catch fence..Ive got a bit of work to do. But seeing as though your hammy's have cost you a dozen games or so in the last couple of seasons and your knees absolutely none I thought I was safe...I will be sure to pass this on to Cactus, we have until the 2008 GF to practise.

Tiger, what is the format of the summer social football??
I played a season in Adelaide years ago, it was a shortened ground, could only kick a goal from in the 25m arc and was about 8 a side from memory. It was pretty good fun.

Even in our prime neither of us would've been any danger of kicking a goal from outside the 25m arc would we?

White tips , Thanks for the greyhound comment! Very funny. Would love to see me getting into the boxes at angle park tonight ??
Good luck saturday at wangary and I mean with the drinking afterwards especially seeing EAG's form last saturday night. I will be at the morphettville races saturday enjoying the festivities.
Remember to get a new ball off him too after lending one to him last week. I'm sure reidy will be all over it!!
Good chance to give a few new/other blokes a hit this week to see if we can get a squad of 14 for the whole year to cover people away and injured. You should open with Hoff next week to make sure you get a longer hit or bat at three and open with swaff and hoff (I'm a poet as well)
Have to go home and pack the bag of fruit for the races.

Exactly btb......... I spoke to an official and not 1 letter has been put in by any club to talk to another player.... Hull cant have signed with Bostons without a letter going in........ If he has... the system is a farce as no one abides by it.... The clubs that do abide by the rules are the ones that miss out.... Will investigate more....

I heard Summer Football was Mark Fraser and Jamie Kidney playing kick to kick....

Puma follow up on Potter on Sunday mate.... its drawn the pole and will be in the finish again...

Spook.... next time I need a heading for the races I will give you a buzz.

Notice the GM missed Rainbows 5/34 in the first round in his write up. Waiting for someone to whinge about it or just a simple over sight????

Don't forget Shane Pedemonte's ton in the first week too bystander. Old blue is all over the shop this season. His summaries of all the games last weekend were all over the place. It's great that bluey puts the effort in but he writes about 10% fact 90% made up rubbish.
