Hey McGov, I didn't realise we were playing 20min halves this year in the A grade. ;) :D

Yeah I know, we'll see. Just looks like they're putting their best foot forward. Keen to go watch the Roosters on Saturday - can't remember watching any RMFL footy so don't know what to expect. Those with nothing better to do on Monday and Tuesday come and watch a born again roofing master at work on the Birdwood clubrooms!!

Yeah I think Echunga will be the early favourites and I would think that we'll have to play at our best to give them a rattle. From what I saw at the Country div GF last year, Echunga play a pretty similar way to what we do so hopefully it should be a good match-up.
Really looking forward to the trial on Sat to see how some of the new recruits go as well as some of the younger guys with another pre-season under their belt.
Exciting times at the Roosters at the moment - starting to get a nice squad together with the B's looking good as well.

Will see you there on Monday - I'll be the one with the supervisor's hat on!! :D

I'm hearing the same thing. Also not sure about "the locals learning from their time in central div" because from what i heard they have lost a few locals and a few more to follow

So ATS, who was this so-called recruit that left us???

And pf, who are all the locals that have left us? The only local that I know is Scott Friend who is going to Onkas as he wants to keep playing Div.1.

Surely it must've happened by now so you can post names.

Jervois beat Onkas easily. Roosters will have their work cut out? Although Roosters did beat Onkas easily last year..

Does anyone know any 20/20 night results? My lad was supposed to play but we are away.

Mount Barker defeated Plympton by one point in the GF.
Hahndorf beat Mt Lofty by five points to take 3rd place.
Echunga won over Tailem Bend by 19 points for 5th place.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

I didn't go and don't know what the teams were like but the Roosters had a good result against Jervois. How did the Brooks go against Elizabeth?

Yeah was a pretty easy run for Birdwood yesterday despite still having about 8 A graders to come back in. Was good to see a few of the new guys play well.

Why mention how many you still have to come back in. Hate it when clubs say "but we had 10 out" that why we lost or "we had 10 out and we still won". trials should be about gettin touch rather than who did or didnt play!
Great to see birdwood kick a big score. They wouldn't have kick that score in more than 6 years. Its a shame they opted to play a lesser division with a good side. I think you always play the highest level you can play. Country division would be Divvy 4 at best, and divvy 9 at worst yet blokes are running around getting over 500 a game. If I was Birdwood I'd be asking the question from some of these players...Would you take a pay cut for success in a lesser comp? then watchem head to another patch of Hills grass.
