Do you think Imps are chafing at the bit to head to Meningie Sunday in a cut throat final? Both grades a bit under the pump but I am not sure that predictions that they will both get knocked out are right.
Conditions might suit that Tailem Reserves side on sunday, wet cold and crappy.
Roos both playing at Ramblers home in even worse conditions, Makes for tough football that possibly only a footy tragic would enjoy. At least the broadacre farmers will be making some cash. Hit them up for sponsorship 2011.

Not sure Imps will go into this weekends game with any positive thoughts at all. Losing players weekly, & playing without any real passion.
Ramblers v Mannum will be a top game, but the rough conditions will make it a scrappy game.

I need to vent here- WTF is wrong with the RMFL waiting to the end of the home & away season b4 deligating finals grounds? Its now becoming laughable!!!
Out of the last 14 finals (last 3 years to this point) there have been 7 maybe 8 (not sure exactly, but definately 7 I can remember)HOME GROUND ADVANTAGE games been played in our league 2 of which have been Grandfinals in 2 years. Its not that hard to get neutral grounds especially when the final 5 is set 3 weeks out from finals. Its bad for every1 involved (except maybe the home team, as even though Mannum finished top, they are not allowed Ramblers home changerooms this week if they so desired them).

I think you will find that is wrong Goldberg.. whoever finishes top gets the home changerooms regardless... I know that was always the way it was done, whether that has changed or not I don't know.

The only way you could negate the Home Ground Advantage is to assign finals the week before they are played, unless you want to see every final played at Tailem Bend, or one club get 2 or 3 finals in the one series. The Finals are all set down at the start of the year, if you get a home GF good luck to you. I am not sure how many sides have won GF's at their home ground - the only one I can remember in recent history is Jervois but they would've won GF's anywhere....

I can assure you that its correct, home teams get to keep home changerooms!!

Ramblers won in 08 @ home, but thankyou for strengthening my arguement with the Jervois example ;)

As for 2 or 3 games at 1 ground, think b4 you post mate. Simple example for this year:
a,Imps v Ramblers @ Mypo
b,Mypo v Meningie @ Mannum

1,Winner a v Mannum @ loser a this year Imps
2,Loser a v Winner b @ Winner athis year Ramblers

Loser1 v Winner2 @ Jervois

GF @ Tailem, with Club having no final get medal count

Not hard at all

Goldy , thats how it used to be done, the league would allocate grounds and would change them to avert a home final, however Meninge came up with the famous chocalate wheel which is the current system and badgered every other club until they got the votes to implement the current system.I can only assume it was passed because every club is assured a grand final every 7 years now , whereas before some clubs facilities were deemed not good enough to hold the G/F.

Went past Ramblers on the way home tonight at 5.45 and the outter wing was completely under water. They had a pump there pumping water off the oval. With more rain tonight may still be pumping in the morning. Will be very soft there.

Change rooms a non issue. Kicking the ball through the goals might have something more to do with the result.

Good point, however you can't change the system until every club has had the chance to have a home GF. How many years left in the cycle?

Anyone go to Meningie, what was the final league score? Sounds like the reserve's game was a decent tussle.

Not sure exactly something like Imps 15 goal to Meningie 7 goals. Tailem reserves lost by a point. 7g 7pt to 7g 6pt.

The A Grade was a close game until half time when Chad Wingard moved into the middle and just dominated. Imps were never headed after half time and kicked away to a pretty good win. The B Grade was a great win, imps stood up to Tailem as they tried to indimidate them and ended up getting away with a 1 point win. One of the best wins the B Grade has had all year.

Adam Eckermann 19
Ben Dougall 17
Luke Harrowfield 16
Tyson Waite 14
Ben Quinn 14

Benny's speech for runner up was funny! Had a crack at the Umpires, saying that they are not always the good guys, as every1 had been sucking up to them all night.

Well deserved winner in Adam, Best on in the Association match, According to reports would have made the state side except did a hammy in the last game of the Carnival, & Under 21 B&F!! Fair year
