Congratulations to the Cats beating the Power in England. A case of all too late or does that count as preseason for 2007 in which case the Cats would have started favourites as they play like champions preseason and then it all turns sour.

Thanks, windsoravenuedemon but there was plenty of running involved as I was batting with Casey and I reckon he likes to hit the ball to one metre from the fence just to hear me call him every name under the sun while we run three's. No sixes and probably 15 fours in my knock and my body was feeling it. Had to kill the pain saturday night with plenty of alcohol and a warm down on the dance floor at Ocean's.

Another close game on centenary and I think that will be the case most weeks as it is a bowlers delight. Once again no batsmen made runs so OL will be looking at the averages again of all bastmen and tell us who can't perform on the lush centenary wicket.

Can anyone name the captain of a team that rocked up saturday without a new ball?? Not many places to buy a new one sat arvo in tumby bay.

Obviously he was concentrating on his batting although, he told me before the season he was going to open the bowling so it was surprising to hear it wasn't in his hand all night and all sat morning.

Well batted anyway fella!!

Didn't see a local newspaper photographer at tumby on the weekend so hopefully I won't have pay any more fines after being hit with a $14 fine last weekend. Not sure where the cricket trip is going but overseas would have to be on the cards with the amount going in there.

Special mention to the Seabreeze hotel staff and owners that put on a couple of jugs of beer and hot chips. Much appreciated and made for a longer then anticipated session at tumby. Very happy with the service and it made for a good catch up session after the game. Recommend it to all that go to Tumby for a game.

Thanks whitetips, yes it was the tumby hotel.

Does the firing of Captain Reidy for a golden duck get a mention??

Did you see hoff on page 37 todays paper?? Need to cut that out and stick it to the fines box.

An old ball would have been all that needed against us if it was Reidy!

Puma did bat well - kept the ball down for the most part - no sixes I can recall. He was out LBW to a 46 year old who hasn't bowled for 20 years though - we thought he should have been fined extra for that!

The South boys were very keen on firing each other out LBW!
Power on!

Apparently has been signed already by ramblers. Deal was done before he got here. Is a mate of George Pedler and Simon Pedler. Good win for them.

Hey Another Grub, Did you get a look at the photo finish of that cardiac arrest and potter finish?? It was a 1/2 head verdict but looks more like a nose to me. I was on potter so just sour grapes from me.

Through his work, Luke apparently knows this bloke who's neighbour's best mate has a second cousin who plays for Mallee Park. So they are definite favourites to get him in my book.
