You Idiot!

mate for a side full of 18 and 19 year old kids, in my extremely biased opinion birdwood are doing well, didn't pick up a single recruit over summer, and were only 3 goal down during the 3rd quarter against ironbank, just lost to lobethal, took it right up to bridgewater. not far from a win at all i'd say.

Tough day for Mt Lofty, finishing the C grade match with only 15 fit players. That's C grade football i guess

Meadows v Kersbrook
We got off to a flyer 5 goals to 1 within 15mins into first term the rain came and the brookers fought back to 5 to 4 down at Quarter time. the scores were very close until 25mins into third term where the James boys kicked 4 goals between them in about 5 mins. ( yes a very long quarter nearly 30mins). From that point on they held Meadows out and carried that advantage right through to fulltime.
Roger James was outstanding as was Brett. Both played up forward and spent sometime on the ball.
Paul James was effective and is also very clean but not as dangerous. They were solid all over the ground. Brad Dubios completely cut Brad Pearce out of the game, and Monty played his best game for Meadows but other than that I thought Kersbrook won most positions if only marginally. It was a very entertaining game with the highlight being R. James mark and his kicking for goal ( he slotted them from everywhere.

Depending on who's available, the Central Hills team should look OK this weekend.
Just J Brown and T White in front of the sticks...Kartinyeri, Wood, Burch, Treszelnewisinki etc on the ball...Loffler, M Stapes, King, a couple of Onkas lads, and some very mobile ruckmen to choose from (Temme, Byrt)...on a fine day, looking OK.
Other club's thoughts on their available players (forgive my ignorance on player names)

P.James is the only availability from Kersbrook (or perhaps should I say the only one available up to association standard) and is a quality on-baller.

The rest are gaining points with their other halves.

I'm not sure what Dave Murphy is doing but I'm sure he would have been asked.
Does anyone know whether the likes of Dawe and Michael Carter are playing?

JQ and forum

I think you will find the hills league will struggle against Barossa

I have heard that most people are not playing as they want the week off. So pretty much all of the players you rolled off there will probably not play. I have heard that no players from Uri's are playing. A couple from lofty are apparently playing.

Not surprising as they all want the weekends off to rest up for a massive end to the season!

As has probably already been said, this is one of the disadvantages of not having byes throughout the season.

you're an absolute stroker mate (chook). Bridgewater is far from being a dads army side. It's the lack of experienced players that is half our problem. On another point does every birdwood player get a free tattoo when they sign on? Lots of tough body art out on display but didn't quite match the way birdwood played the game.

How's that gun recruit M. Binder going over there? Haven't seen his name in the best (or in the goal kickers) since about rd 2 when he didn't kick a goal. Is he still playing in the A's up forward?

Paul James is a great little player. Has an excellent work rate which is why he gets so much of the footy.

Has anyone seen any Uraidla games and watched ex brisbane bear/ nth adelaide/ west adelaide player Shane Hodges? How does Hodgey go?
