When you fully understand the deep spirtual bond Johnny Palmer and Mr Unit share, only then will you fully comprehend the pain and suffering he has endured.

I admit that i'm extremely bitter about his disappearance. I just think that someone (not necessarily HB cricketers) knows exactly what happened. That is all that the signiture implies. When you say penalised/disciplined, what exactly was that?

Longies could've just as easily lost him on numerous occasions also, so we're not too critical of that. Our main issue was that he was 80 years old & was replaced pretty cheaply. When this was mentioned to the league secretary that the replacement should've been of same or similar material as the original, his response was " that would've cost over $1500". Well we think that the cost should not of been an issue. A lot of people think you got off lightly. Personally, i didn't want to see you lose points or anything, i would've been happy with an adequate replacement.

Johnny was pure silver, the cost of silver when the trophy was made to the cost of silver now is a extremely different and due to the nature of this league and financial position of the clubs (all clubs most likely in same position) how can you expect an individual club to fork out $1500.00 for a trophy?

Cans were also 5c back then, now they're 10c. Sounds like a gold mine to me!

Alright, stolen, from the Owen pub. Not from a trophy cabinet at the HB clubrooms. You guys don't seem to think that you are at any fault here. Like i said, it could've easily happened to LPCC but we would've took responsability & replaced it adequately. If we can't afford it we would've been obliged to find a way. Look, what we have now is what we have & it will build it's own reputation over the years i'm sure. Just don't expect LPCC players to forget him that quickly. I'm sure you guys wouldn't.
