[quote="another grub"]welcome back haloman..... sad to see the saints short.... one of the best rivalries in sport the Shields v Saints clashes.... who could forget the GF 2 years ago.... the forbes v dorward clash on home plate.... the Padsy v M Regan curve ball pitching.... the Casanova v Benny Adams sledging match.... The haloman v Jezza Hartwich stealing 2nd base....aaaahhh the memories...]
could never see you lining up in another outfit haloman.....

Jezza and myself have decided stealing bases is for cheats. Don't really want to line up for another outfit Grub but may not have a choice. I'm sure Saints will get their act together soon but I wont be waiting around forever. I enjoy the game to much to have it become a burden. When you spend so much time stressing about players, money etc the game itself becomes more trouble than its worth. There's no other Lincoln team without those same problems leaving Shields as the best option. Hopefully It wont come to that but I'm really not to fussed if it does. Shields have a good bunch of young fellas and they are well organised off the field. This is why they don't have to go chasing players, they eventually just get feed up with the club their at and go to Shields themselves. The first Lincoln club to get its S#$@ together off the field is likely to attract plenty of numbers and dominate. Hopefully that club will be Saints but I doubt it.

Good club man is our Haloman, but only while everything is fine and dandy, soon as it comes to having to do that little bit extra, forget it, jumping ship is easier!!!! I think the technical term is "fair weather player"!!

Its not that that simple boys. Saints are the club I grew with and I would never want to leave. I've tried to help sort things out for the last 3 years, particularly with the juniors, however it would seam as though some people around the place don't want my help. Made it perfectly clear to 2 or 3 people that this year I would have liked to have got on on our committee and tried to sort the club out a bit. Never got nominated. Infact people that weren't even in the room got nominated. This is just one example and I guarantee you there are many others. You can only get kicked in the teeth so often before its time to move on.

sad to hear haloman..... I thought Saints were the second strongest club in the assoc. but I guess all 3 behind Shields are about the same... What sort of comp will it be if everyone takes the easy option and goes to the strong club. Why wouldnt you play for your boss haloman?

This post some time ago wasn't far off, I had the right man for the job, just that Bostons pounced. If there was anyone who can sort out the ill discipline at Tigerland, TP is the man for the job. Won't take any crap at all and can make grown men tremble. Bostons are on the right track now. Thoughts.....

Absolutely spot on. Good time for that little consortium you had going to make its move WCP. Bystander has shown interest in pulling on the boots this coming season. This would come as wonderful news to all those who were on the wrong end of the wistle last year. Can see him spending more time on the strecher than on the field however. Would expect a few square ups.
All that is required now is Zoo Poo in the ruck and we might even find ourselves with a B grade.

zoo poo in the ruck..... ???? CHF ......he is still shitty that no MM votes were NOT given in the last game at Wangary in the Bs..... he took 15 marks at CHF and dominated.... towelled up Red Myers.

Will be interesting to see if TP can pull any recruits..... my mail is Eski deal is virtually done.... the consortium will follow if they are looked after. Darren Allard will coach their B grade.

Really!! I heard it was more like this......Zoo & LM, FF & FB respectively doing absolutely nothing while ball is up Rangers end. Zoo's talking real estate with LM for 5 or so minutes, ball actually comes down and with Zoo planted in the square LM runs off and clears it out. LM trots back to square where Zoo casually continues previous discussions with 'Now, where were we!!'

With cricket season well and truly upon us, I think we will have to use a rotation system with the amount of cricket to be played. All for 20/20, henderson shield, normal club games and alliance challenge but throw in the country carnival were you expect players to go to adelaide for 2 weeks and I can tell you it will be a struggle.
Haven't heard the in's and out's from the Waybacks or Charlton boys yet (Captain Newman you online). Heard Charlton nearly got Rhino over there from Tasman but he didn't like the training set up.
Good luck on saturday eags and I hope you bowl yourself in front of the fridge!!
Have to thank Bluey for not picking us this saturday and putting the kiss of death on us this early in the season.
Hope the weather cools down abit for saturday as the pre season has been 6 months of lounging around watching footy so it will be tough.
Scoob , availabilty problems hey?? It's nice and cool in the front bar having a beer and a bet on the spring carnival so I know where your coming from.
