Toddies have a few ins this year and no real outs to speak of. Trainings have been well attended so far and will be close to full strength this saturday. Our illustrious leader this year will be Chris Cash.

piss up sounds good i think we play maybe 3 games out there in total this year??

I think we have lost casey g who's in adelaide at the momment and lucas dale with a knee injury

those two boys will be replaced by adam the goo gourlay and swaffer, i dare say swaff will open the batting with orchy, swaff to concentrate on keeping up the end while orchy has a swing!

Will be an interesting Challenge Cup for Waybacks, some big names unavailable for the start of the year in the A-Grade, but should still be able to be competitive. Ungurra trip looks to be the highlight of the Pre-Season. :D

Our boys are pretty impressed with the Cup program, 2 Tumby trips + 1 to Dorward!!! I thought we might get to host just 1 team at home! :(

We will be as good as last year.
Charlton couldnt afford Ryan. Gourlay a BIG loss but couldnt knock back the $2 a run on offer.
Razzle and Hogan fit. We will be up there again.
Will the country teams be a walkover again?

Razzle is coming back next month.
Is the club challenge really worth playing?
How did Reidy get captain after his antics last year. I got told by the heirachy he would never captain the side again EVER.

I think most clubs enjoy the hit out b4 plaing for points. Prize money would always come in handy, (even if you only put it all over the bar). That would be the Hendo Shield side i reckon!!

Interseting article in the paper today about Bostons new recruiting man..... great idea and I commend him for putting his hand up.... no doubt eski and the consortium will be talked too. What has been said so far eski? The players involved in the consotium need a new challenge..... Hull, Watherston, Thompson, T & W Smith, D Bryant, J Sinclair and A Ryan would all make a big difference.
George Pedler is an outside chance to play for the Tigers nexy year according to a good source.

Tips.... I heard LS were picking a captain at training Thurs night?

Interesting news bystander, I did not attend any baseball meeting last night but I wouldn't be surprised if season has been postponed. Rumour has it that Saints could fold which if did happen would leave three teams and be hardly worth it.

The lincoln teams have really struggled for numbers of recent times, especially with very few coming through the junior ranks. You need these juniors as without them, the same players are left to play year in year out and the game and atmosphere can become a bit stale. There are also quite a few people involved who can get carried away with the importance of the game. At times you would think we are playing for sheep stations and some of the things said on the sidelines can be pretty ordinary, especially at grand final time when people who don't often watch the game come out for a look. That doesn't usually attract them back. I don't know what can be done to improve the prospect of the sport without new people becoming involved.

Regarding baseball at Ravendale, may as well spend the money on something else unless things change very quickly. We have training tonight and i'll update when I know more.
