Spoke to a Meadows A grader the other day and it seems they have high expectations for this year! Top 3?

They will have the best ruckman in the comp by a country mile so wouldn't be surprised.

I think you guys will find that Meadows have recruited Michael Kenyon from Strath, played in last years premiership team, long left footer plays off a wing or half back,
goes good.

What's with Kangarilla recruiting 40 year olds? A few years ago they threatened to dominate the comp, but not now they're a rabble.

Are Birdwood doing a Bridgewater and self destructing?

Meadows have picked up 2 good players and are now premiership favourites! I think they have about 20 odd goal to make up from last year

How many have they lost? If they still have their midfield from last year it will be the best in the comp by daylight unless others have picked up players not mentioned on this forum.

To be honest forgot about Kersbrook. Fair enough on them. Birdwood however have a few other reasonable mids, plus I think they picked up a few mids from TTG so they may have more depth through there (dunno who else Kersbrook have other than those 3)

Hart, Gardner?
Magahey is good but Krieg stinks up the house a bit. I think both time we played them last year he didnt go near the pill. Id rather the 5 listed Kersbrook guys then Magahey.

Agreed! Meadows would want more than two players if they are talking top spot! Kers's mid field is a strong one and nicholson is a smart ruckman!

The echunga mid field isn;t to bad either! Cranna, jesse edwards, clint guy and then either munn or adam edwards.

I know Gardner is a good player but when it comes to running through the midfield I Would certainly rather McGahey and Krieg. And Isnt Hart a forward? I wouldnt write off a bloke who played lots of League footy (100 games I think) because of one bad game against the comp leaders (I also think he played injured for the better part of the year due to Birdwoods lack of depth, but stand to be corrected). Time will tell, but I expect those blokes to make a big impact this year.
