And by the way Cougar just because it doesn't go through the books, doesn't mean they are not getting paid!!!

Barny is still a registered player at IB, if he showed up on satdy he could play, Can you imagine the looks on everyones faces :p

Back on Flaherty, hes almost as injury prone as Naughton...

Soctt Burns is from Birdwood

Stevie Sziller from Lobey

One to surprise: Sudjai Cook played 6 AFL games for Adelaide in 97. And yes he's originally from Kersbrook

I reckon this shapes up as the closest Central round so far, across the board.
FWIW...
Lofty to be challenged most of the day but will hand Blackwood it's first loss, in any conditions. Lofty still have alot of run across A's and B's, so it'd be interesting to see who gets picked.
Mt barker to give Hahndorf a real touch up at the pit. This will start Barker on a roll, they're not that bad.
Uri's way too good for the dogs. 6 goals.
Lobey over Birdwood in Birdwood's closest game. 25 points...unless Hibberd unleashes, then it could really blow out.
Ironbank by under 10 goals. This will be VERY interesting to see how Shanty follow up their first win in a year of footy.

Birdwood also has Darren Pffeifer - hasn't played AFL yet but may not be too far away.

Re country final five..

Could be all over..if rams cant win this week against GEHughes Const.

Rams loss to the echugas was crucial..you cant blame umpires BUT..when it makes the diff between finals and the never never..u can understand why players ect get frustrated.

Good to see Marcus Jones and Nick Paech-Hone included for their first A Grade games for the Devils. C Grade tonight should be a cracker with quite a few of the Devils "old firm" returning to assist the youngsters

Who got dropped then, Bazz? Surely they'd want their strongest 21 for tomorrow's clash?

Top five in both divs already set , just a matter of which order. With five quality sides in both divs. A top 3 spot and the double chance is going to be crucial

Woods 3 points- It's going to be a ripper game... Would like to see an upset!!!

Barker 10 goals- Hahndorf recruited poorly... not enough young talent

Uraidla 10 goals- Doggies with too many holes due to injury, coming up against the side to beat!!!

Lobey 13 points- Dare i say it Danger game for lobethal...

Ironbank 4 goals- Just seem to have the balance right between young talent and recruits... 2007's Dark Horse???

GTS Not so much a comment on Lofty as I think they play good footy in any conditions when they are on- more so that Blackwood this year with older, experienced recruits will be more dangerous to Lofty in the wet than in the dry this year, as experienced (aka old) players tend to handle the wet footy and conditions better than younger blokes. There are exceptions of course

Re the upset, where do you see Blackwood winning it?

To win it Blackwood will have to stop the Lofty forward line, but i dont think that will happen. You will need Michael Johnson on Racer to keep up (if he plays in the forwards) and you will need tony Lockett down the other end to kick goals for the woods (and you will neeed to make sure Pagey drags out those leather pants again).

Mate seriously, do you know why the woods are sitting where they are? Look at the start of their season, they beat Ironbank then they had Lobethal, Bridgy and Birdwood. Now wonder they are sitting where they are!! Im all for the underdog winning but i dont think this will be the occasion, of course i have been wrong before.
