Firstly: banker i think after watching last weeks C grade many of the old firm from lofty would want to get back on the track although i doubt there will be too many for a c grade team,

Secondly: i have a question for all the thunderers on the forum i read a couple of weeks back that James irwin played C grade are u fellas serious? surely he is good enough to star in a B grade competition!

Finally: has anybody seen marcus jones in the mt lofty B grade he is a superstar hasnt lost a tap all year would more than likely dominate ale A grade ruckman aswell, should be playing A's.

Bookie - Yeah Jimmy Irwin is good enough to play B grade for sure. But he has been away most of the pre season and has not been to training consistantly until recently so the blokes who have been there since December have been picked a head of him. For the record he was picked and played in the B grade last week.

But quite seriously there is over 30 blokes who are capable of playing quality B grade football trying to get in the side each week.

Good position to be in for the club.

Flahts was going really well in the A's until injuring himself a couple of weeks ago, not sure of the injury though. He carved up in the trial games and more than held his own in the two games he has played so far. When he is fit again I can't see why he won't continue doing well. I really like the way he plays his footy.

You're too good mate......u got me.

Listen, all this talk on what the James boys are on at Kersbrook, has overshadowed the fact that if we had to reward a player financially so far this year, it would have to be Dicky Kleeman. He's been clearly our best and is a gun!

yeah that is one thing i have noticed from the sidleines the last couple of weeks. i saw irwin play last week, and yes a good selection i feel if you play A grade you should be able to get picked for B grade. some noticable absentees from the B grade i have noticed in the past few weeks include harley, hamp (not sure if he is right to play yet ?), gilly, s witt, TJ, kieran roberts, pottsy, milky just to name a few not even mentioning a number of new recruits who i saw on the weekend ( but judgment cant be made as i havent seen them play). i did notice that s witt played on the weekend and did a good job. maybe this week against bridgy's struggling B grade some of these guys may get a crack who knows, or even funnier maybe they can be loaned out to bridgy for the weekend so that the game isnt that one sided lol. with such a competent B grade it should be hard for selections. armytank do you know of any of the above mentioned or some that are not who are getting close to playing a game, my thoughts are a winning side can still be built upon.

IB B's will challenge with Lofty this year, good season ahead.
and quickly i know it has been said time and time again, but i was really impressed with the A grade performance last week a 4 quarter effort with lots of run and commitment, but still can be built upon.

i agree bookie. Marcus Jones can play and probably would play regular a grade at any other club, but from what i have seen, there are alot of quality tall players running around at mt lofty.

Super Boot - With out getting specific because it would just take too long, there are a couple of blokes you just named that probably force the selection process to go to nearly 10pm and still not get a game. There have been a couple of blokes very stiff over the last few weeks.

Yes a winning side can always be built upon but as we are only four games in with a number of new recruits I believe that having the side pretty much the same each week has helped with the results so far. That does not mean there isn't room for improvement though and competition for spots is tough at the moment in both grades.

Things are moving forward for the club as a whole with still more to travel, we just need to make sure we continue to move forward to make sure we get there.

yeah good call army tank id assume that many people read this forum so it probobly wouldnt be a good idea to name names anyways, 10pm thats a late one for selction though, must be tough thats well past my bed time hahahaha. Oh well going back a few years i remember the best thing would be to get around the players missing out, as long as these people missing out know that they are not far off and that they are still required all will be good, people playing should get around them encourage them, this will also make the people playing improve if they know that spots are on the line each week. 2 wins again this week boys[/quote]

cougar i am guessing you are from kersbrook and a local therefore believing that your town is such a nice little place that why wouldn ex afl footballers want to come and play football here for free wake up idiot sure he may love the club because he started there but we all started somewhere doesn mean we would play there for free especially when r james could quite easily be getting 500 + dollars at other clubs i am not saying thats what he is on but he is NOT playing for free and i would hardly call a team boasting afl and sanfl former players amateurs ! ????

HAHAHA spot on Joe!!! Think Cougar needs to re-think the situation... I heard Barnaby French wants to coach U/14's and U/17's and play A's for Ironbank for two beers a week. HAHA! And by the way Cougar just because it doesn't go through the books, doesn't mean they are not getting paid!!!

Wake yourself up idiot! Kersbrook hasn't got a gold mine and last time I checked Fosters and Coca Cola weren't sponsoring us. It was not our problem that our Club produced more AFL players than any other HFL club in the past decade. Yes we have plenty of players (not just James bros.) that could get big $$ elsewhere but for their loyalty to the club choose not to. I guess while you're at Maccy that's hard to fathom.

Good Luck Satday. Hope you're Full Back!

Ooh, jeez. And people thought Lofty lads got defensive re $$.
And there's no need for Packer or Murdoch, just a phat Yiros stand and a couple of raffles a week will do!
