The supposed "leak" on Wes Bilney can NOT be true.... I have done the form and he wont poll a vote until half way thru the count. remember they lost thier first 4 by plenty and he didnt play in round 5 against Bostons. When trying to find the winner we often only remember the last half of the year. MJ's start was great so was Wes's finish..... Im even more confused now!!!! 15 votes could win it this year.

Wes's form

1. -
2. -
3. -
4. -
5. -
6. -
7. 3 goals... not in best
8. 1 goal... not in best
9. 2 goal... not in best
10. 4th best (mooney 26 goals)
11. 3rd best
12. BOG
13. 4th best
14. 2nd best
15. 2nd best 6 goals..probable BOG

WT has had a great season and goes in the count as EU hot favorite. ruley is the only bloke from ramblers to worry about. Ricky clake???? With all due respect - Ricky Clark or Coady no chance.
Winner to come from the following, (1 pick from each club), Mark Habner, Brad Foster, Darren Rule, Brad Wake, Jay Shannon and Cougars .... well perhaps just pick a name.
Anyway, forget the Mail Medal ... forget the Golden Whistle .... Surely Grave Danger will take out the "Golden Runner" award for EP footy during 2006. Presents himself immaculately each week ... not a hair out of place, consistantly oils the pins, and ensures both shoelaces are exactly the same length. Horgs prepares him each week by the old, "What are these" ... GD "Steel Springs" RH "What are they going to do?" GD "Hurl me on to the field" RH "How fast can you run" GD "Faster than Cammy or Lunch"

I find it a little hard to believe that the PLFL couldn't consider there to be some conflict of interest with the JOB case. Having 2 tribunal members from Souths, the reporting boundary umpire a souths player, and Jase being an ex-souths player ... surely it could be interpreted that there was some ill feeling towards the player. 2 weeks is VERY harsh penaltly, especially considering there is a strong possibility this could rule him out for the GF. Admittedly, he doesn't have the best record, but surely the extent of the injury (ie no broken jaw) and the potential for ruling him out of a GF should have been taken into account. It seems to highlight the inconsistency in umpires reporting incidents this season. How many times have players been belted this year (suffering worse injuries) and not even been reported?

Not with you on that one?

Still a week till the 2nd semi, the last of the J'OB case has not been heard. The matter is being taken to the SANFL and if you can't appeal, we may be able to wrangle a re-trial based on new evidence, ie MT

1st of heard about Tanner... Tassies need a tough, no nonsense coach who will pull some of the young guys into line. Wally is a top bloke and the guys love him but I think he needed to be harder on them. They stuff around to much at training and don't work hard enough on becoming better players, hence why we are always in the bottom half of the ladder.. Sure ability also has a fair bit to do with it.. if you ain't got the cattle.....
Feel really sorry for someone like MJ who could go thru is entire career and not win a flag.. He with a few others work their arse off all the time..
The whole club needs a massive overhaul IMHO!!

Two words, Tony Pedler.....

Also Scoob, is it true your suffering from stress fractures in your foot and won't play again? Big loss for Tassies B's if correct, been bagging 1/2 their score most weeks!!

In theory, a tall forward line of Tonkin, Ryan, Cimma & Davey should stretch the Peckers. However a tall opposition forward line usually means Peckers run it out of defence even easier than usual. Roosters will need Clemo to keep Mooney quiet and someone to tag Wes. MJ & Campbell can match their onballers. Tassies could give them a run for their money all going well, but it wouldn't surprise if it was Peckers by 10- 15 goal.

Have Tasmans identified those 3 players as being easily intimidated???

That's all well and good but if you're not getting it from the middle you're not getting FIRST USE OF THE BALL to get it to them, so what have you got in the back line to get the ball to them????? :?

Must say i do find it intriguing how the majority of posters here can bag the umps, fair enough you don't agree with a decsion or whatever? BUT how many of you have actually tried it. It's NOT as easy as you think!!! ALL of you, myself in the past included, have called out, "ball" or "holdin' the man" or whatever else. How many have considered, ( in a split second as an ump is expected to), has he had prior opportunity to dipose the ball legaaly, did he dispose of the ball legally, was the tackle legal, did he have the ball to start with and so on and so forth. As an ump you call it as you see it, you don't have time to do otherwise! Regardless of what club you came from!!!

lincolns worst kept secret is out that Wes Biney won the Mail Medal, deserved winner. How did the leak get out is the question?
A few comments from last night were, How did Johncock after kicking 26 goals only get 1 vote? Bryant 18 = 1 vote. I saw the first game of the year souths v bostons and North dominated from CHF kicking 8 goals and didnt get a vote. 3 votes to eckerman in the last game for souths and they lost by 10 goals and he was named 6th best for souths according to bluey.
There must be plenty more stories like that. anyone got anymore?
What are your thoughts there umpy?
TRR broke the scoop on radio about Grant Tanner coaching Tasmans, he will be at footy today having a look.
