rangers will appeal, they wont play 3 finals matches.
no evidence from any souths players so not good enough defence from rangers.

Yep, he's out for two. 3 Ranger players gave evidence supporting Grubs (a LSFC player) version that contact was made during the sheperding incident when Jase wasn't even facing MT. 12 year old umpire gave evidence stating that Jase held him in a headlock and punched him. I can't say what happened, I wasn't there, but the tribunal have trusted the umpires version 100% and rubbed him out for two. Not sure if I need to mention two of the three on the tribunal are LSFC life members.......

Further to this, one of the Ranger witnesses was talking to Cuddy before he went up. Cuddy had been talking to MT and MT has stated that contact was only made when he was chasing the tackler and there was nothing in the ensuing wrestle. We obviously should have had MT giving evidence and this will no doubt be part of the appeal process (if we can??). OL, what have you heard, your last line seems to support what MT has said!!

It's in the SANFL Constitution which states NO right of appeal but Affiliated Leagues may have a by-law providing for appeal for any suspension in excess of 10 games. This has been in place for years.

Now, now panther you want to be a bit careful here. I can certainly attest to the integrity of the PLFL Commissioners. I think you should withdraw that comment. The tribunal process is about making a decision based on what was presented. Obviously your club is disappointed with the result but maybe you need to speak to your advocate and ask him to explain where he failed to convince the Commissioners. The age of the umpire is not relevant and by all accounts he presented a very accurate descirption of what he saw which removed any reasonable doubt from the Commissioners. As for penalty, they would have taken into account JOB's previous record which we all know.

totally agree piesman, would think they are the perfect blokes on the panel, as their decision doesn't effect their football club 1 bit as they are not in the finals. from a bloke who called on the president of a footy club to take action after comments made at a footy game, then to come out and question the integrity of these well respected people seems a bit hypocritical??? Pull your head in WCP!!

Yeah, comment withdrawn, one of my poorer efforts on here. Sincere apologies.

I actually don't even know the names of the two so I can't be questioning their integrity personally.

Always going to be people on the tribunal that have a conflict of interest in a small league..... just have to take pot luck and hope for the best.... most have been around football a long time and are good honest people and usually go for the lighter penalty.

They have a panel of around six. The difficulty is (and always has been) trying to find someone to put their hand up for what is quite a difficult job. Most have some form of allegiance to a particular club but I can say (speaking from experience now) that I have never encountered any form of bias towards/against clubs/players. Only the evidence is examined. Commissioners are mixed around. I know they have trouble getting three most occasions due to unavaliability. All clubs are able to nominate someone on the panel - talk to your delegate.

WCP - he wouldn't cost you guys a premiership. Besides, as we saw last year, anything can happen in September.
Yeah, get Brodie moving around a bit more, make him earn these last few games on the west coast!

hows this for big news
four prominent port linc clubs will meet at the end of the season to start up their own comp each with a netball side. thus leaving the door open for other teams from elsewhere to join at anytime
wouldnt that put a hole in the netball if wanilla, souths, imperials and waybacks A1 went to a comp with prizemoney on offer
the meeting is set down for early october

when do bostons and souths play off for the spoon?

I honestly believe Matt Goodwin will win it. He polled at least 6 best a fields when Waybacks were winning. That will be enough. Campbell for 2nd and dalton 3rd.

OL - interesting rumour re the 4 breakaway clubs. No more details on who they are? Or were those netball clubs a true indication of corresponding footy clubs? I wouldn't think that'd be any more viable than what's happening now. It'd be a bloody big effort to start 2 whole new leagues.
