Nathan Grainger is coachign the HFL under 17s so I think that if Page no longer was coaching the team, he would be a good option. I heard that the 17's team is playing tonight, might pop out to have a look at some up and coming talent.

As for Pagey doing Central team, why not? Did a great job last year in moulding side together against BL&G. Is very astute and knows the game pretty well, and above all, is respected by his peers. If you don't consider him, who? Maybe previous year's premiership coach ... Sutherland, but seems committed to Uraidla. If you go on that line of appointment, would Garry Hughes get Country rep job? ... wonder if Uncle Owei would like that giving his well known opinion of the Lions!

Carter was good at Goodwood Saint and Chad Dawe who is actually having an average season for his standards this year was a stand out at the eagles.

sprinter,
if chad was a stand out, he would still be there. he played a handful of senior games and spent the rest of the year in the reserves. agreed he is a very good talent, but i reckon he should have stuck it out in town. maybe it is just a bit easier for him in the country.
unless he was shown the door by the eagles of course!

Wasn't sure if Sprinter was being sarcastic in his referrence to Dawe. Think he was good enough but went to the wrong club given their list of last year (to be fair to Dawe though, the Eagles may have been the only club that pursued him) and it is ironic that he probably would have gotten a better run in the seniors this year given the losses in their big man department and I know a least a couple of their senior players had earmarked him as someone to break into the senior side.
As far as playing on down their goes, it is common knowledge in Hills circles that given Dawe's current situation, it would have been nigh on impossible for him to play for any club in the Adelaide metropolitain area.
