Wilkey going quite well and got third best player in Saturday's win.
Thomas (the one that came this season) is currently injured and is still a couple a couple of weeks away. He showed some good form in the first game against Nairne.

Not too happy about it, but it's the nappies that really give her the shits.

He only lasted a few minutes at Uraidla anyway.
Lofty's midfield will kick a lot this weekend without him anyway. But a focal point at FF would be handy.
Any Magpies out there to let us know how they look for the clash at Heathfield?

Cheers Just Quietly and Armytank. While doing my crumbing business over the years there have been many waves of dissatisfaction by delegates and internal committee with the current Pres. Sometimes big waves, sometimes small ones. The bottom line is, that, as in many organisations, no-one else wants to do the job, or more specifically, has the time. So Mr. O always gets his way, and info given to clubs re any current issues in question is only as clear as he wants it to be. And bear in mind that any "Letters to the Editor" in the Budget from any protesters will be and are edited by him. It appears there are a few people with nuts around the HFL at the moment, couldn't call it a coup as yet but well on the way. Maybe Monica of Milang and all the friends of the little white dog should sit in the back seat for a while and give the real issues some space.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Interesting stuff, Crumber. I can't bring anything to the table re this, but good work. And you're right, it's a hard job to fill and there wouldn't be too many people able to commit too much time to it.

Saw Cally play against Nairne last Sat Cougar. I hope they don't fall in a heap as they are a VASTLY improved side this year. Troy Bond played the last 2 games and to be honest, if you weren't aware he'd been an AFL player, you wouldn't have guessed. Obviously well out of form, out of tone, out of pace etc., but was used as a crumber in the backlines very effectively. Gave away a coupla elementary frees in front of goal though. On the whole, I and fellow spectators felt Cally was very well coached and really weren't too far away at all in the first 3 quarters. They have improved by 500% over the last 3 seasons. Fitness seemed above average, stayed with it all day, tackled hard and kept persisting. They will win more games and will notch up a couple of unexpected ones.

On the question of Gummy becoming the next Milang, all I can offer on that one is that I hope they keep the same spirit in adversity that the Panthers managed to do. They have a better future than the Lakers did in terms of population and juniors etc. but I hope they enjoy their footy as much. Might keep it all happening until better days. Always gotta be bottom sides.
Milang was a real gem lost to the league and all clubs should've have tapped in to their spirit.

D.A. Glad you welcome the input from Country Div. clubs. Just stand by what you say, don't knock us and keep it all footy-based. Been misconstrued by you a couple of times, so Country contributors: keep it all happening. Let's occupy the air-space we have.

On a completely different topic............I hear there is a bit of trouble in the camp at the HFL. Crumber, you are spot on re Cally. I was there as well and the way they competed and their focus on the ball was completely out of character compared to the teams over the past few seasons. Callington have made some huge inroads into changing the culture out there. I agree that they will win a few more apart from just beating Gums. BEWARE the Eagle!

I have heard the big "O" has been up to his old tricks again, giving permission for players to play when due process has not been followed. MR Lampshade may be on the way out!

farmer knows more than his fair share haha. dont quite know what sturt's coming to if rhys gets a game down there. dunbar for one should be in well in front of him.
it was a top effort by the hills lads on sunday against a bigger stronger more organised outfit. pistola and robinson standouts for the hills. if they produce anything close to that on saturday hahndorf could have a problem.
