Did anyone see the incident at half time in our game? some discipline problems were again evident on Saturday.
We would all like an MJ in our side to single him out is wrong.
t07...half time incident was mostly froth and bubble....started by a clumsy even up that was probably fuelled by some side line rantings made by one of your so called problem supporters...no one was hurt and calmed down pretty quickly..............

Rambo...re-signed or resigned?

The LS comments bring into question the editorial requirements of the Times....Hats off to the space they give to sport, but blind freddy would have seen that that comment was inflammatory and probably should have been deleted......

and btw grub...who did the write up for the W v B game....was straight forward ,to the point and overall summed the game up pretty well...supports the theory that less is best in many cases...well done to the mystery journo.

He must have had a mole at the game then..appeared to have more detail and less stats than a normal ghosted write up...would have earned his $30.

grub...heard a couple of interesting 'rumors' concerning sat nite at the 'western tavern'...a previous coach may have been asked to leave and a current coach may be about to be asked.....any idea about these????

and speaking of rumors...

Heard of a proposed meeting scheduled by the league for October to look at the future of the 6 team comp in Lincoln? 3 people from each club will be invited.

Also, who was the LS official that went into the ump changeroom after last weeks LS v T game and gave B A and D S a colourful spray which went unreported because one umpire said that "it wasn't worth it". Both umps are now facing being dropped for this week's round if they have enough umps to cover for them.

Rex Whittaker was the 1995 Captain Coach Panther, by the way Lunch wanted me to remind you about the bet you made with him regarding Glenelg finishing top 4 in the SANFL this year.

I give up, what are the answers?

Also on another front if no one reads the SANFL page, Brodie Murphy will play for Glenelg next year after speaking directly with Mark Mickan.

I gave Mark Mickan the phone numbers of 6 Marble Range players last week. Hopefully there will be more announcements soon.

Regardless of who it was, or for which club, that sort behaviour is crap, if you (as a team offical on the team sheet) don't agree with a decision then state your case in a civil manner. There is NO need to be abusing people. Those that do only make a bad name for their club, hense i won't be playing for LS next season.
At the end of the day tho if it had have been reported, the person involved would have got a fine, which the club would have no doubt paid, therefore "it's not worth it"! In my opinion the league needs to be extremley tough on this sort of behaviour otherwise recruiting umpires will be even harder than what it is currently.

totally agree bystander, well said. These guys go out there and give us a game every week, they call it how they see it! They do NOT deserve that type of attention from anyone. Your right its not worth persuing... hence the swearing allegation a couple of weeks ago involving the same umpire which went nowhere and proved nothing... it made both parties look bad!.
