we are all guilty of running harder when going forward in the Bs wcp.
Tasmans just look to be building up each week now in the Bs..... the solid core of Wright, Collins, Ambrose, Wizza and Bailie in the midfield is good and they have a good target in scoob who should have kicked 7 or 8 but for some wayward kicking at goal, Boyce and Evans are handy on the half forward line and a couple of the skinny lads go OK on the wings. Still need a few more back to be a genuine chance eg Wheadon,Dalziel, Sincock, Nicholson ect.... with the As playing finals this may effect their chances.
Waybacks will no doubt get a few back this week in their Bs.... should be a very close game with the winner well hidden. If Mallees get the double chance they will be into odds on favs for the flag.
Heard you could have won the game out their WCP but left your kicking boot at home.
With low numbers this week coming up the GM has stated ' I will strap my knee up and sit in a pocket if I have to'

Sounds like a great game at Wangary...Mallees obviously trouble Rangers...They looked awesome against up the week before, but mayb the opposition wasn't what it should have been.
Full marks to Boston FC..they were competitive for most of the game against us...we fronted with a pretty young side which would have helped the tigers cause. They are a young side too, and get easily brushed aside against the bigger sides...Spoke to a couple of players and supporters yesterday and there is already talk of 'next year. which is encouraging.....as I said before, they don't need to win straight away, just appear competitive.

Story is that a MR umpire got punched on Saturday...last time he got punched was at Port Augusta.

I raised this point with a few on Saturday night and most agreed, be keen to hear some thoughts on it.

Assuming it is a MR v MP decider (not a given either), I reckon Mallee's will be switched right on this year. Reckon last year they rated themselves too highly and figured they could touch Waybacks up a bit, then go and win the game itself. After Saturdays result and the way we played, they now know they will need to bring their absolute A game to claim the flag and their will be no time for the sniping and carry on they can produce. Basically what I'm saying is as underdogs (or not outright favourites, however you want to put it) they will be more dangerous.

No doubt they rated themselves very highly last year. I reckon the wet conditions on Prelim. day against MR definitely made it hard for them, and upset their plans. their game is more suited to dry conditions.

Margin was 5 goals and Anthony Smith was FF I reckon. Stink played at FB and he said most of their forwards were just decoys!! They just stood there looking disinterested and when the ball came in they took their man to the boundary and allowed the gun midfield to do all the scoring. We blew any chance when we couldn't convert with the strong breeze in the first quarter while they got 2, the first one 15 seconds from the first bounce, Jonesy having 2 possesions in that passage. Writing was on the wall early.....

My boot has deserted me completely this year, not training is probably no coincidence!! Someone asked me why I even bother playing when I enjoy the tinnies and watching the A grade more than playing. I replied that if I didn't have to play I'd probably be on the chain at home painting or some other female induced chore....

Yep......probably not a bad ploy for them really, work hard in the first quarter while they are fresh then have the breeze in the last to do a bit of the work when the guts on a few of them really start to feel heavy!!

sounds like sour grapes.
one team came to win a game at all costs - one didn't. Wally outcoached him by exposing weaknesses and James is the finest leader in the comp.
did he mention Les Dennis' behavour after the game?

What was printed, can you post it? Grub, you've gone from saying there was no problems with any incidents to saying there was a king hit. Were you being diplomatic yesterday, or abiding by the hitman's code of silence?

I didnt hear much about the incident at the club Sat night but obviously some arent happy with it.... think the reaction is coz he is 17 and one of the nicest lads you will ever meet who wouldnt hurt a fly. harsh result not having any front teeth for the rest of your life but hey we all know the risks/anything can happen when you cross the white line....
comments in the PLT are.....
"Dissapointing to see a 17yo kid being king hit. More discipline descisions need to be made by our umpires to stop serious injuries. Offenders must be dealt with."

The next six months will be pivitol in our survival.
We have in place an experienced and likeable group of people ready to start recruiting. Some wealthy club members are on board to provide funds or employment which is appreciated. The resigning of Brian Ramsey shows stability at the club. Junior numbers are good, so we have positives.
Did anyone see the incident at half time in our game? some discipline problems were again evident on Saturday.
We would all like an MJ in our side to single him out is wrong.

mj was snipeing all day.
his late hit on White was worse should have been sent off for that. Yet when he went near it he would put his hands in the air looking for a free. He has given himself a bad rep now.
I dont barrack for either team.

Firstly for the rainwtertank to be emptied, the gas bottles to be turned off, the visitors changerooms graffitied with spray paint and then an U12 getting hit in the face when he went to shake another lads hand. Then we move onto the broken windows at the tennis courts and the huge piles of rubbish left behind by 'visitors' cars. The club should write a letter to the league, I wont be going to anymore games where they are playing. boundry umps had rocks thrown at them too, no supply of junior umpires all day. the list goes on.
