Zac Ewer signed on as we'll apparently. If they can hold what they had plus these two and the coach will be a very formidable unit.

Fact versus Fiction
BDT - Currently have no Coach versus 2 un-named Sturt players
Karoonda - Woodards in v Gene Robinson
Lameroo - Grieger in v Walker out
Murrayville - Worsmann loves circle work v club disbanding and heading to Vic league
Peake - New Coach v Zac Ewer
Pinnaroo - Nothing stated

Can we deal in more of the former versus less of the latter?

I would be surprised if Gene was to leave Mypolonga. Also, who is this Woodards bloke?

And it's done. Southern Zone and former Brighton player Gabe Phillips has signed at Peake. That's 150 goals out of Brightons forward line with the other signing of Trevor Rigney. I don't believe Mahony has finished yet....

Depending on Peakes depth you would have to say they will be around the mark. Rigney, Baker and Phillips will be the best 3 players in the league almost, certainly on par, if not better than Keller and Richardson.

Think PB is real close carey, needless to say I reckon it will take a very good defender to hold Rigney, 'IF' he is on his game. I understand your interest in this league but if Mahony has been appointed at Peake, as it seems, he will transform the Mallee. He was shafted at Brighton by egos and would be's. Close friends tell me he is a quality coach and a 'people' person that you just want to follow. That in itself brings good things to the comp. Hope it works out. :)

I agree that Mahony has great people skills and Rigney has the potential to be a standout in Mallee Football but at some stage his lifestyle will catch up on him. Very few clubs move great coaches on and there must have been some sound reasons why Brighton believed it was best to part ways with Sam.

The new Brighton coach is responsible for the Henley High School Football Academy as well as being an AFL scout for several years. He wanted the job and comes with good credentials, so the board at Brighton made Sammy reapply for the position, which he didn't want to do, and after playing in consecutive GF's why would you? Unfortunately Brighton have fallen into the mindset of 'greener pastures' and clearly underestimated the bond Sammy had forged with his playing group. Evident by the 10-12 A Graders that have left the club.

what's happening at Murrayville with all of last years' recruits? A few have put their names up in the Barossa & Yorke Peninsula, with a price tag.

Yes Dictator the new BOS coach is very well credentialled having developed a lot of kids to AFL level, and with BOS having scores of them maybe the club might be going down a different path, particularly if they see themselves coming in SAAFL at Div 3. Makes sense because by the time they are all ready for the big time they could be in Div 1, plus it alleviates the club of forking out big money to be on top of SFL.

Yank man I think you are speculating ! The new Brighton coach is a really good developer of kids yes , but he wasn't even in the picture when Mahony decided not to reapply ! He unfortunately will need those skills as most of the senior playing group has left not because of the new coach but because they are not happy with how some of the committee handled themselves and lack of communication with player group ! Hopefully Paul can weave his magic and get the young fellas playing out of there skin !! Because if not Brighton could be in div 2 . not in ammos but in s. f. L . Considering where vale finished last year stranger things have happened ! I here training went well tonight so let's hope we can pick up a few recruits and be very competitive!

Any truth that BJ O Malley is going to have a whistle in his hands this year. Surely there would be a few blokes happy to give a few words back to him
