Hahndorf over Birdies- but give em hell rooster and you'll give em a good scare though.
Blackwood will thump Bridgey and kick them when they're down (Is Kluzek back this week or next ron?- it won't alter the result though it'll just be a bit closer).
Onka's will punish Barker- these two sides will feature on an Industry Super Funds commercial later in the year with Onkas pushing up and up, Mt Barker down and down.
Uraidla and Lofty- draw, I'm sitting on the fence just like i hopefully will be at swamp road on saturday. Will be a great game though with Lofty coming off a loss and Uraidla approaching the game like their opponents f&%#$d their wives! I'd imagine that's how a grand final loss would compare.
Ironbank to squeeze past Lobey on their big deck- these two teams will be fighting for fifth in a few months.

i agree about the weather last weekend was no fun for anyone
the crouts over the cocks by atleast 10 goal
blackwood to pump bridgey by 15+
onkas will destroy barker 15+
lofty over the cabbage cutters just 3 goals in the grand final reply
the thunders over lobey by 5 goals

I don't wanna sound too picky, but I reckon I might wait to see if Lofty get one or three of those forwards back this week, could help make the difference. Although, it could be a midfield that'll kick enough anyway.
I reckon Matt Stapes might make way for his brother in the 21 this week...

True, the new guy came out to a couple of preseason practices, his name is John Floriani (no idea how to spell it), lets see how he goes this week against the cabbages.

Midfielder, can kick a goal and must have played close to 150 sanfl games, another very handy pick up to strengthen (?) the mid field.
The Woods will have the big man power when Lucas Herbert plays with his mate Gigney

NEWSFLASH

Postby devilsadvocate » Thu May 03, 2007 11:13 am

At Mt Lofty we are changing our name to Woodville/West Torrens/North Adelaide Reserves Districts Football Club, or WWTNARDFC

We will wear a Crows jumper from Sat and have a whole heap of bandwagon jumpers supporting us.

Bring back the natives!

is that the general feeling up there by the locals? i know it is good to get some quality recruits to your club to help ensure the success continues but not at the expense of too many locals as an outsider it does seem that the locals are being shafted i would think that this is not the best way to run a club cause if down the track these new imports leave and you have pissed off too many local lads it could leave the club in a pretty bad position

I'm just taking the piss.

Nobody's leaving yet, but there are a LOT of imports this year and a LOT of talented locals missing out.

If I was still playing, I'd be missing out and wouldn't be overly happy about it.

I have a feeling that we will pump the Devils this week for one good reason; they haven't recruited for Hills footy. There coach has brought in all of these "gun recruits" who are to big or too big and slow to play the game on wet, sloping decks. Even Nathan PG who played juniors there wouldnt have played too many hills games.
Uris to get up by 3 goals.

Interesting, i believe that the whole league was spoiled last year with a complete lack of wet weather games, I dont think Lofty have really been pushed in wet conditions, could be an interesting year if we see a majority of wet weather games this year. Lofty can take it to anyone in the dry as demonstrated last year, their skills are great, but clearly as was shown on the weekend they dont seem to be able to handle the wet weather too well.

Well i guess if its dry Lofty, if its wet maybe Uris may get up?

Its starting at Lofty - normally in the 3rd good year. Clubs are happy to just get some success but by about year three locals are disgruntled about not getting oppotunities and start to look else where.

Pump as the lesser used term of beating them, not the more common usage of thrashing. Sorry I have to explain myself!

Lachy Chapman lads, been dominating B grade football this year and last year, isnt he worth another shot in A's?? Lachy was with the club through all the hard times and he is still with the club playing B grade even though he could play A grade at almost any other club.

Lets not forget onkas are a very good side and were the only team to knock of the devils last year. Also both sides had same number of scoring shots, but i believe Lofty didn't take full advantage kicking down hill in the 3rd quarter. Had 90% of the play in there forward fifty with a return of about 1.5.

Interesting to see the super B's kick 14.8 (I think) in those conditions. Must like the wet seeing as they did the same in last years only wet game against Blackwood in the courier cup. On both occassions keeping opposition under 3 goals.

Would you be talking about Mt Lofty's star ruckman in Will Grosser- if he is getting paid that is outrageous, I think big Joelby Hampton could play Grosser's role more effectively in the A's. But watch out Joelby your C grade rucking position may be under threat from big Willy.
I do think Uraidla's big recruit of last season Ebel was nothing short of an fat overweight disgrace however.

This week I'm expecting Birdwood to really take it up to Hahndorf, but with Hahndorf to still prevail.
Blackwood to smash the hapless Raiders.
Onkas to beat the young Barkeroos
Ironbank to beat Lobey and Muffy has no excuses not to get BOG this week on a big ground.
And finally Uraidla to beat the Devils by 6 goals.
