Looks like there's some great footballers heading out to the Mallee next year. Surely the time has come for RMFL v Mallee inter-league game!

Wouldn't be so sure on that one Carey. Can the RMFL players take on the hits that the mallee will give im sure a few of the malley boys wouldn't mind knocking a few RMFL boys around.

Haven't heard any names but let's hope they are a pair of nuffies. Seems like the mfl is getting stronger with quite a few high class players coming out for a kick. If Peake has picked up Mahoney to coach I would imagine a few Brighton boys will follow!

SF17 - you are dreaming. carey was generous. Mallees best vs RMFL's best = mercy rule by quarter time and everyone to the bar. Seriously, the best Mallee players would be lucky to make Imps, Ramblers and Mypo's teams of the last few years. RMFL far too fit, good and professional. It will never happen as RMFL guys couldnt be bothered and the Mallee guys would be too embarrassed at the smashing they would get.

Have to agree. I think most country representative sides would have struggled against the RMFL association side last year.

The RMFL Cods assembled a quility outfit this year. So much so it was enough to bring a tear to the eye of Peter Dalwood.

Think thats a bit rich. Could easily see the Richardsons, Kellers and Knights running around in these teams. Have you seen them play Slapsy??? Top end talent in the Mallee is quite strong. Just the depth that falls away rather dramatically.

That's up there with the worst posts I've ever read on this forum.

With all due respects to Tyson Wait who I regard VERY highly as a player and bloke , but you blokes continually bag the league and label everyone in it as rubbish. Tyson battled for league opportunities at port.

There are guys in mallee who would WALK into any RMFL sides key positions.

Don't judge us all by a couple people's stupid posts, used to be and slapsy,
I myself have said the standard is down but that's known as the lack of depth, but not once have I said their aren't quality footballers in this league. You guys would have noticed the murraybridge teams rate themselves fairly well and apparently no one is good enough to fit in there teams!! Haha

Anyway any more news on who the new arrivals at peake are? And have karoonda signed those players yet?

There is always an odd exception - Keller would make it, richardson maybe but knight would need to do some training. For the record, I have played in both leagues. Won a flag at Imps, played interleague for the mallee so think I can pass some judgement. My comment is not just about ability/potential - its attitude as well. being disciplined enough to do a full pre season, get fit, be in form and train twice a week for a whole year and still be there at the end. This is where the majority of mallee players would struggle IMO. Got nothing against any footy leagues just get a bit intrigued when some of these comparisons get made.

I would have all three of those guys plus a few more at the Bears in an instant.

Throw some cash at them if there that good, get them down at the bears and see how they go. Everyone has a price, they might prove me wrong.

I wouldn't say thats the case Ryder, but yeah they are clearly very loyal because I'm sure they've recieved plenty of calls and offers over the years,
