Woolford is the cousin of a senior North player.
Spent some time with North Adelaide.
Will be in the Riverland over summer.
Panthers are hoping to convince him to play. Whether it's likely or not...

not falling for that old chesnut.... but in the current economic climate what club up here, if they were being responsible, would fork out $900 clams a game to anyone other than a proven SANFL league player??? Even then hard to justify.

But yes, I do wonder how clubs that might in the past have considered spending a bit of money will be situated this season.

Heard from a member of the Renmark board that Ex is to coach Waikerie.

I think Barmera has spoken to the Tanunda boys, but they are pretty happy where they are. I don't think $900 a game is any where near what anyone would pay around here (at the moment), perhaps excluding Waikerie.

I find that hard to believe as he took 5 wickets playing cricket for Waikerie/Ramco B grade on the weekend.

I went on the footy trip two days after a knee reconstruction. That was no big deal either, until I got home and sobered up and realised how much I had ****** my leg up. I probably should have taken my crutches with me.

You would have thought they'd learnt their lesson after the Lester Ross era of ridiculous spending for no cigar. They have some very good kids playing at that club and that is who they should be focusing on. A one year quick fix on high paid players is not going to fix a long term problem. To those that think it hasn't been a long term problem, just look at the fact that they have not won a flag for a very long time. Longer than any other RFL club as a matter of fact.
