False. Daniel Gregory will be at Tailem. He attended Marion Football club with the intention of playing there, but has not attended the trainings, because he is staying at Tailem Bend.

He has no committment to Marion, but went for a look as it was a possibilty.

And as for Muffy, he'll be telling everyone he's retiring, trust me... ;)

Well this is fun, isn't it? Daniel has no commitment to Marion, and will indeed be playing at Tailem Bend.

Is it a new COUNTRY BOARD contract?? If not then it means nothing unless SFL are going to dis-affiliate

I have heard that "The Board" has told the clubs that all existing contracts (new ones) will be null & void, unless their forms are used. Contacts signed last year will be allowed to stand at the boards disgression for the terms of that contract.

But please dont fight about this aswell, this IS FACT

Lol its all fun.

I never once stated Gregory didn't sign some papers (in fact, I know he has) only that "Gregory has no commitment or obligation to play at Marion, and will play at Tailem"

If they are the "right papers" then I'm afraid Marion could make him sit out of footy if they so pleased. Not sure things ever get that far, but I bet some form of renumeration would be requested. So therefor part of your statement maybe correct (committment) but the obligation part COULD be wrong

This is interesting insn't it - he has signed a Community Board NEW contract for 2010. Cannot see how that will be broken. No obligation you say - what do you call an official document for the season 2010 all signed off by the young lad. Anyway lets wait and see how it pans out. I would say that I know who has the advantage here. Do not think it is Tailem Bend. All bases have been covered by Marion Football Club. Contracts really do not have much space for a change of mind once signed.

Contracts are one thing but surley noone would keep a player if they dont want to be there!

Not knowing anything about the lad, but what if he was to sign a contract now with Tailem (assuming he played there last season)? When Marion put in their clearance request in February, Tailem then reject it on the basis that he is already under contract.

Would this be right?
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Think you will find the date of the Marion contract would be a month or so ago. So I believe again Marion has the say to whether they re-nig on the contract as to my knowledge he was not a contract player @ Tailem Bend last year.

I think, and based on what is being posted, Tailem may have to pay a disclosed sum of $$$ to get the boy home! Or maybe Drama has got it wrong & the kid wants to play at Marion

Exactly correct. Playing devils advocate tho, what if he signs a back dated contract for TB, what then?

Obviously getting BIG pressure from Tailem as he is one of their local lads. He happily signed the papers and was keen as hell to have a crack with a new club in town. Anyway again let's see how it pans out. VIP you are sure what you are doing when signing a contract now a days. They ARE binding when done correct.

We'll see hey... but there is more to it than what has been disclosed.

On another topic, is Tyron Hill going to be playing at Jervois? Surely if he come back into SA he'd go there wouldn't he? I couldn't imagine him playing for any other club in the RMFL, that's for sure.

I had heard he wasn't keen on Jervois, after some sort of falling out, but I'm hessitant to believe there is anything in that?
