As much as I'm dead against moving the Shield from Centenary, if we bring in more teams, and try to get special attractions, etc, asnd involving Netty, then it must go to Ravendale... -shudders-

It will not go to ravendale while certain people are on the commitee or coaching 8)

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Netball country champs has I believe become an expensive exercise for most leagues
on the west coast with accomodation and the length of time on buses/planes etc
would the footy leagues support it ?
I know one that wont

Watching the carnival I think a full strength Tasmans side would have very nearly won Mortlock (excluding the Lincoln team obviously).
5 of the 6 Lincoln defenders were Tasmans, throw the 2 Campbells in the midfield with Magic, and with Daniells, Frick and Wagner up forward I think the Tasmans team would have been too good for KI and Far West.
They would have given Mid West, GF & EE a run for their money.
This year in PLFL is an unusually high standard, with an unusually dominant team.

I think our mighty roosters (Yes I have jumped on the bandwagon KWF) would have been about Mid West standard boags. They are clearly better than Far West and KI.
I think they would have been competative against GFFL and EEFL but they would have lost just.

Who is going to stop this almighty outfit in the local competition?

Hypathetically who would have won Mortlock this year in your opinion if it was City and Districts playing?

Has been alluded to that Lincoln reps were dominated by "City" teams...

Having said that MP (MRFC) was the leading goal kicker and he'd be in Districts, but could be replaced by a number of City forwards...

I'd back City in to win it...

Boags the CHB line all weekend was B,Calderwood,Jericho,Scott(souths/rangers)
So not sure where your geting the 5 from 6 from?
Tasmans would beat Far West but not the others.
Heres one for you to consider:
How would Port Lincoln go in the state country championships? I think they would go better than the past few teams that has been sent away.Alot of players continue to make the side on reputation not form

Harry Miller certainly a huge in to that squad, as is Miegel- no sure how many other new faces will be in there- and not just new Lincoln one's...

Should be the best EP team for a while, but there's a certain side wearing the navy blue in that carnival with a lot more stroke, and bigger cheque books, than you'll see over here...

Will be battling in the bottom place play off.

It has to be if KI are commiting to another 3 years which has been confirmed, as has Lincoln splitting up.

How can it not be a 7 team comp?

Was sitting at the footy on Monday with a mate from roxby. He said it'd be great to bring a side down to play mortlock. I think they would be quite competitive with the amount of mine workers up there. He coaches OD and had four mail medalists from other leagues signed by February this year, so definitely not short on talent. Just a thought!

It is rumoured that both Whyalla (again) and Roxby (is it Northern Areas League??) are being spoken to about participaing which could bring it back to an 8 team comp should either of them decide to involve themselves..........

Always a good source of debate when it comes to the EP Squad.
Joe Dahlitz told me that sometimes you have to die before they stop
picking you.
I thought I saw Reinke, Rakinwasa, Brown, and George in the backlines
on Monday.
If the crowd was big as last year(as reported on tv) I will eat my
hat. Face it Boys something needs to be done.
as for seven teams maybe Great Flinders could split in two

I saw the report on GTS/BKN also Ken and wasn't that the poorest 3 or 4 minutes of coverage I have ever seen. To say the crowd was on a par with last year is clearly FALSE information. And this channell wonder why their news is the laughing stock of australian television.

I have not been approached to coach at the WFC this year, next year or any year. I have not approached the WFC to coach this year, next year or any year. This is an unconditional statement.

I'm all for positive reporting but when it's a blatant lie, well, you're setting yourself up for ridicule.
