Will Paul Crichton coach next year?

Any ideas where?
SAAFL?

Will the Crichton lads finish out the season also with Kangys?
Will they be looking to move on also?

No where you would think .... be a bold move for a club to appoint someone that has a couple sackings on the resume

has he been sacked before freo?what club was it?

Thats untrue completely so make sure what you write is factual, resigned from clg after two years ,left cove after coaching under18s to coach seniors at clg he has never been sacked so be very careful what you write and MAKE SURE it is 100% factual or you may end up in hot water.

As a player who has been coached by PC I am shocked at some of the reception he receives on here.

Yes he is passionate, but who isn't in their own way.

He took our side to 2nd and 3rd is successive years, and couldn't do much more in our GF loss.
A fantastic developer of juniors as he gives lads a go who want to be there.

My mail from my good mates at CLG is he wasn't sacked, and everyone knows he wanted to coach seniors hence why he left Cove.

Still can coach and should coach.

the article appeared in the papper because paul went to them and gave them the story which he had to sign off on is this true benchmark?the threats you make to everyone on here about telling the truth is a joke, the best thing for you to do is turn off the computer and walk away and stop huffing and puffing its a forum and people have the right to say what they want true or false.do you see afl coaches ring up the sunday mail and say the going to sue all the media for every bad thing written about them no.who gives a rats if paul got sacked anyway sounds like he cant handle pressure tell him to take up golf or somthing.ps let me guess im in hot water because ive got an opion, get a life my friend

He had resigned three weeks beforehand and then an article appeared in the courier mail ,the club were unhappy with the some of the contents of the article and he was asked to finish couple games early and a caretaker coach finish off,he agreed to do this for the club and for himself. His sons continue to play there as do the players he brought with him ,no sleeps being lost and all is good. They are the facts before anyone else gets on here and fabricates another story...

we all know he was sacked. perhaps you should contact the courier and ask for an interview to publish paul's side of the story told from your point of view of course you seem to know alot about it and him very personally.
he is just a waste of space and time at any club.

It is damaging the brand that is HFL. Now is the ideal time for Cally and Sedan - and they are gr8 guys and club people - to be relegated to C grade for the benefit of the comp. Play a full season in C grade, they may even start to win a few games and get some players back.
We all look forward to seeing how superboot Josh Hill goes in central next year keeping in mind he averages 2-3 goals a game in the NT. Don't think he will get anywhere near the ton next year. Be lucky to get half that. Back to the real world for some anyway.

I think its far too late for that, the Hills Country League is already a joke.

If these clubs go to C Grade they lose juniors and then the club. The clubs are there for the region's kids so the options are continue and improve, or fold. Not to go to C grade which would result in most players leaving anyway.

Not knowing that much about the strength of Hills Country footy, but a post I read after the list of 100+ goal kickers this year still stands out to me.

5 blokes have bagged the ton, one of them 140 odd IIRC, and not one State Country forward?

Obviously I've only read a few pages, but it's pretty clear that Callington and Sedan are very ordinary sides, and there's obviously a massive gap between them and the rest of the comp.

Has this been a problem for a long time?

who cares. enough is enough.
i know at least 5 quality players from a few different clubs who will not play in the country div next year if callington are there.
the standard of the comp will dip as good footballers do not want to play in a league brandished as a joke.
lampshed- read this. do something about it. you have the power to.

OR step down and let someone do what a president of a league is suppsoed to do

Great article on Quinno in the Tiser today re the 40 goals

Said the Gum boys had 16 players behind the ball and isolated the two fowards

What tactics did Cally employ? Man on man, flood, zone?

Actually reckons Big o likes the Callington publicity..like a circus touring with a bearded lady..its unsavoury but everybody wants to see it

Disappointing that the Hills clubs can't/won't update their results on Sporting Pulse by 5pm...Would have thought that the closest country league would do that to guarantee accurate results in the paper

Crichton sacked from CLG? 100% wrong, anyone who keeps writing crap about Crichton being sacked is obviously talking out there arse. Crichton helped turn the club around, when he came we were struggling big time, he bought out allot of talented players and coached them to a premiership in his first year! The CLUB continues to be strong and is in better shape then allot of clubs who have blokes in there 30s running around in the A grade, we have a young group of players who love the club and most of them came from Crichton. Passionate he is and sometimes this may get to people but hes only ever done good things to the clgfc and we would love to see him and his sons around the place next year! FACT!

I spoke to paul a month ago and he told me he had decided not to go on next year. Fair enough if you ask me because the hills country league is an absoulute joke, clubs spend 30 grand a year on players(not kangys) and miss the finals, an absoulute discraceful league.

Who'd be spending 30k to not make finals?
not Nairne, I doubt Meadows, Maccy? Kangarilla? no one with a chance of not making finals would be spending that much.

How do Callington and Sedan juniors go? It would be a shame for a bunch of kids to miss out on a game if these two clubs are told to go to C Grade.

I would prefer to see these two clubs stick around. I remeber around 6 years ago Callington were a really decent team (may have even played finals?). You always came off the ground knowing you had played a really tough game. Forget his name but they had one of the best full forward's in the league who would kick some freak goals. For their sake, I hope this is just a phase and they will be able to rebuild soon.
