Not sure I was at a another function but I know the footballers have been turfed out when its not busy
enough I guess its a Ravendale issue. Maybe the hockeys need to drink more.

Sounds like common sense

On another note I hear the centenary canteen was robbed on Friday night? What a disgrace some people are. Its always going to be a problem doing up that place with the vandalism, graffiti and break-ins. What can we do about it? Seriously if we get it all nice, new grandstand etc, I have no doubt our 'friends' will trash it on friday and saturday nights as they linger in there and mis-behave.

How can we fix the problem?
Lets have some suggestions

Tasmans obviously just to good RR. Where is the line up to collect from the bookies for a Tasman Grand Final win? Otherwise i am sure we would have heard the same ol crap about never going to the footy again or posting again.

Pretty dissapointing to see Centenary get broken into, if I can tie my comment back into the whole security
issue at footy grounds, Not that many years ago the police were a highly visible entity not just driving around
in a car with stripes all over it. At the footy on a Saturday they would pull up in a designated car park actually
get out and walk through the crowd have a chat with the locals and address any issues.
Anyone that looked like they were getting out of control they took them away for a rest and a sober up.
That didnt cost the league a cent.
Friday and Saturday nights no difference there needs to be a wander thru Centenary down Lewis St and along Tasman
tce.
When Sharkys closes they need to get out of the car and wander over to the licenced premises.
If peoples personal safety doesnt improve bring in the dogs for a while :)

Now you mention it KWF you are right. You dont see the force pull up much at the footy and get out the car for a walk. It would help out and save lots of PLFL dollars. The PLFL should ask for regular patrols during the night. Would locking the gates help?
What did Zoomer Owen say on Saturday morning?

Mortlock doesnt excite me like it did previously in the old days.

1. Cold wet ground with poor viewing facilities.
2. Uncompetative sides
3. Knowing the winner of the carnival before a ball is bounced
4. Poor standard of football (generally the standard has dropped off)
5. Cost to get in, cost of beer &food

Why would you want to go?

These are my views...

1. Cold wet ground with poor viewing facilities. - Can't do much about the weather. I love ravendale and the ability to watch footy under lights however Mortlock belongs at Centenary. Maybe we could combine the two venues and play the first day of Mortlock at revendale starting at midday and finishing the last games under lights. We could the move the 'finals' to Centenary on the monday.
2. Uncompetative sides - this is the lure of Mortlock - FW will always struggle and i'm sure they aim to be competitive and try and beating EE would be a 'win for them.
3. Knowing the winner of the carnival before a ball is bounced - I'm pretty sure lincoln will win but i still think GF and MW are a chance and shouldn't be discounted.
4. Poor standard of football (generally the standard has dropped off) - i think the standard of Lincoln footy has improved compared with 3-4 years ago. Not sure about other leagues .
5. Cost to get in, cost of beer &food - The cost of food and drinks anywhere these days is ridiculous no matter where you go.

I still think Mortlock is a worthwhile exercise for the EP ... What would you suggest daics as a replacement? How about a club championship for the EP? It would be great to see how Tasmans would rate against Ramblers.

A Club championship is a great idea. The premiership side from each competition would get to enter each year. But again same scenario how much would Port Lincolns almighty Rooster outfit destroy Thevenard or Dudley United by?
Yes I would go and watch Tasmans v Ramblers. You could call it the Ken Whelan Fan Cup ;)
