Yes nothing wrong with a flag in the magoos and we were second in the league until round 14. Do you remember that?

Perhaps he kept Mooney to under 15 goals in the 2nd half.

Flag, good, yes. Agreed. But clubs don't "rebuild" after B grade flags.
I do remember up until round 14, second, beautiful! Do you remember what happened AFTER that?

Before anyone from the other PLFL clubs laugh at MP's comment, a quote from the Port heirarchy went along the lines that they consider Scotty further advanced at this stage of his career than Dean Brogan was. That being the case, and you would like to think they know what they are talking about, why wouldn't they.
My only concern is Scott's opinion of himself - I may be wrong but I don't think he thinks he's good enough. The last few weeks with the Port Maggies might have changed that but that was my opinion after talking to him before he went across for his first game with Port. I hope he now has a bit more confidence and goes on with it. A good lad.

I remember Scotty as a gangly knock kneed 6 footer in Waybacks under 14's. We were too scared to play him in case he snapped in half. Good luck to him, a good kid.

What happened with that B grade rule where a team can field less than 18 and the opposition is obliged to as well? Could Bostons use that? Or was it abandoned like it should have been?

SS - I don't surf, 2 leagues I am interested in though.
Are you asking me about George and Goldsmith in PLFL, or in Adelaide?
Sounds like you know about Goldsmith from his Adelaide days. So I assume you're asking how he's doing in Lincoln?
Goldsmith used to play for Onkas in HFL and went OK, quite a nuisance of a forward. Is now at Mallee Park in PLFL and apparently doing well there from all reports. Not sure why he went across, as he had been at Onkas for a few years and they went OK.
There is a T George at Waybacks in PLFL, can play, when he feels like it. There is a ? George at Uraidla in HFL, who is not bad either. Uraidla are looking at a GF at the minute.
There are some well-read footy heads on this site that can help with the guys that made the country team of the carnival. I know of one that made it, Gregory. A few from the hills made it too. Shame they won't get to play anywhere in the state guernesy though...

Is Schuppaan any chance of returning this year, Or is his season over??.

Indian - I reckon Waybacks need TG out there come finals, not many others will have a dob from the square...centre square that is.
I'm pretty sure Schuppan is out for the year from all reports. Big loss.
