I spoke to my team mate (who saw the incident) again just then and he said the group of youths which included the above mentioned person and a young prominant forward for tasmans were interfearing with the truck while the firey's were trying to perform their duties. They were heavily intoxicated and were showing off trying to impress mates, when a firey approached them and asked them to move on they were heard saying ' were allowed to wait here for a taxi mate ' and continued to play games with the truck and its components for want of a better word.
Again approached by the firey's they moved 5 or 10 meters with the firey getting a little aggrivated at this stage and raising his vocie saying "Go Away''.
My mate then said one of the delinquents then struck the firey a couple of times to the face.
I saw a couple of minutes later when the Police came, spoke to the firey and then approached the mentioned person, put handcuffs on him and said your under arrest for assault.

Just saw on www.countryfooty.com.au that Elliston forfeited all games to West Coast Hawks in all games.
Can anyone shed any light on this.

Speaking of not being impressed. Did anyone see the state our oval was left in after saturdays game? Especially near the visitors coaches box/old toilets area? Anyone would have thought we had 2000 people at the game with the amount of rubbish left behind. Disgusting.

That's nothing new tiger. It happens all the time at ravendale when some teams play there.

Just heard on the grapevine that the league are having serious problems with the ravendale issue. I've been told that the league will try and sell Ravendale games to either TFC or the ravendale board. They will step away from the 'gate' and let the 'buyer' of the game take charge of the prices etc etc for the gate. If that happens then TFC, hockey, Ravendale and Netball could all get together and charge the 1 price to enter the complex. The price being bandied about by the league is around $5000 per match sold.
IMHO this would solve plenty of issues about people getting in for free etc etc. Apparently the league only had 300 paying customer's at the night game against Ranger's. There would have been about 700-800 at least people watching from where i stood. This way the league wouldn't need to worry about paying gate keepers etc etc (and gate keepers taking their cut  ) It would be up to the club to promote the game and get more patrons to the game. I think $5k is a bit rich though. If the league sold all their games for $5k the league would end up with $225k in income for the year. (This would help cover the $40k lost last year.) $3K would be closer to the mark.

Wouldnt the TFC, hockey and ravendale be better off putting that money towards the debt they left us all (ratepayers) with this complete complex debacle?

Isnt the City of Port lincoln being hit up?
That money comes from the same purse!
Who in their right minds would pay $5000 to get the gate fees.

Last time i checked with the board there was no debt. ;)

Wouldn't Boston's want to take the gate for every game they played at Poole? ... this might be a bit to much much thinking for you tiger

Tiger, purposely did not venture up that end of the ground, but still saw plenty of messy areas...

Nothing compares with how Ravendale was left early last year.

I honestly was flabbergasted Loin Chop at the amount of rubbish that I witnessed, on the good side is the canteen must have done a roaring trade  . How hard is it to walk to a bin or take your rubbish with you (including dirty nappies)?
I urge everyone to save up your rubbish for a week next time when you play at this sides home oval and then just dump it out the back of the car when you leave.

Is littering still an offence?

What was ravendale like last year?

How pissed was Eddie Betts at the football on Saturday? Did you see him?
