No i do not want the malley league to fold but it is very fast becoming a breeding ground for those that cant get a kick in the rmfl. look around if the rmfl played you in a association game would you even score?? Quinn and huxtable can recruit and spend money on who ever they want but dont poach players, put doubt in their mind, and offer money to those happily playing for the club of their choice. unfortunately the writing is on the wall you cant just keep on paying money to get numbers and eventually they will amalgamate , just ask loxton about the quinn effect , Loxton, Mannum now Karoonda maybe a run in the imps b grade before much longer. loyal , i dont think so.Did Karoonda make a good choice ? look at last weeks results.

thats a mighty big statement for a bloke that can not even spell   Can i ask you one thing:-How many of your current Imps A-Grade played jnrs at imps?????

There will be a full page story written about ur question here no doubt, haha

used to be, take your garbage elsewhere mate, and dont question peoples intellect (or "interlect" if that makes it clearer for you) without having any basis of knowledge..

Karoonda, as well as the other 5 clubs within the Mallee, have to recruit in order for the league to survive.. Quinn can chase any player he likes, and since he has been around Mannum and knows each player well, all the more reason he will 'poach' players from there, given his in depth background of the players.. Most of the players he 'poached' were Karoonda juniors anyway i believe, and another bloke who hadnt played much for the last year or 2, so its not like he bought Chris Hall or the like with him..

And Murray Bridge clubs, PUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHH-LEEEEEEEEEEEAAASSSSEEEEEE give us a break.. Your population, and location around an hour from the city, surely cannot be playing the hard done by card!

All reports im hearing from within Karoonda are all positive about Quinn, and where the club is heading.. Its no shame to lose to BDT, cos lets face it, everyone does..

Absolutely, but what he can control is when he offers money to these lads.

So are going to send a written letter of apology to the HOME clubs of your 4 or 5 recruits? Or did you just expect them to come because of mates for no $ when they have to travel, because Murray Bridge to Karoonda, is exactly the same time & effort as Adelaide to Murray Bridge. I'd be confident that not 1 of your blokes comes up for zero, in fact I know most clubs reimburse the blokes who drive up from adelaide even if the driver is a reserves player.

This whole argument is silly! Every club in the state gets someone from somewhere, and pays a large proportion of them to do so. And actually as previously mentioned all bar 2 of the recruits out at Karoonda are products of the Magpies junior system, so they have every right to lure them back to the club, & as 0 pointer aswell

Quinny pulled Mannum's pants down. By memory he spat the dummy about Waterhouse and the ex coach... Mannum got rid of these guys as a result and then he leaves and takes players with him, juniors there or not that is a pants around ankles performance.

The best coaches are the ones that leave their clubs in the position to still be succesful even after they leave. They demand loyalty to the club and not themselves. They are rare to find and generally when a club finds one they try to hang on to them as long as possible. I think you will find that Quinn does not fit into this category and Karoonda will learn this when he leaves.

quinny is a top bloke and i certainly don't hold any grudges towards him for leaving, in fact i hope he does well as this is what he wanted to do. If you take a look at the players that have left mannum to play for karoonda the majority are ex karoonda anyway, rudiger, thiele, smithson, bullard, mannum were bound to lose them at some stage anyways. then we have harte who hadn't played much for mannum in a couple of years and his a good mate of quinnys (maybe even a school mate) so he came along on quinnys journey, again what is the problem. you can call it poaching or recruiting, i guess it depends on how you feel about quinny. i'd welcome him back in a heartbeat and i reckon most of mannum would feel the same too. To say quinny caused the undoing of dohleguy and waterhouse is a huge load of crap, those two dug their own graves and the club dealt with them accordingly. Tell you what if i was good enough to play A grade and get some $$$ for it, i'd play anywhere regardless of how long i'd been at a club, you don't know the financial situations of people and every $$ counts.

My understanding is that the club had to act on a certain after hours incdent involving the previous coach. And I believe they did exactly the right thing.

Hopper you have obviously learned of my spelling mistake when looking up the meaning of the word on google. I was simply making comment of quinn shifting around every where i know he is not a popular person in the riverland , i dont know and dont care about his antics at Mannum and just making comment on his appoinment at Karoonda which personally i dont think is good for the club. When Imperials recruit they keep them that says a lot for our club, thats why we play with far less points than anyone else, no there is not a lot that played juniors here currently playing a grade but the list to come is endless some thing Tony Fielke had a lot to do with, we also have a lot playing at sturt or port power. How are the juniors at your way going.??

what a quiet week on the forum no crap or bullshit dribble to or from peak ( on the side is a bloody good thing cos it is shit ass boring to read ) and there is not much of a week of footy to talk about only thing i can see is if peak can win ( woops i mentioned them) they could put a lot of pressure on Murrayville for the rest of the season if they want to make the finals.

lol, Slapey will be pleased he got a mention in the BDT preview. too bad they didnt mention his stint on the ball last week? (in his 150th game i believe) and that he kicked two or three goals?? seems he can play both ends and the middle! i might be a bit out on the details though, i heard it third hand. well done to him if true though.
