As I alluded to before, that is certainly not on and it wasn't meant to be selective eyesight, I just honestly didn't see it but it's just as bad, no question about it and it just adds to my suggestion about having post match tribunal hearings as no one has to go much out of their way and the incident is still fresh in everyone's minds.

What's with Bridgey's trial game whippings?
I had them pegged as big improvers, maybe they haven't played their recruits in the trials??
Brown back to Uraidla...
Gotta hand it to them, they may lose players in cabbage land, but they somehow seem to find others to easily cover the losses.
I reckon Lofty may hand out their biggest win in a long time over Barker, this weekend.
And DA, your comment was gold about the positions.

Fair enough ORD's and to be completely honest i didn't see the other incident that you refered to with the Maccy player requiring stitches. I saw the very tail end of it when the crowd reacted & i figured something had happened by the blood on the Maccy players face, i immediately looked towards the umpire to see if there was going to be a free kick awarded but there was no reaction from the umpire, so from that i take it the umpy didn't see what had happened. In my opinion the tribunal system is a fair way of assessing reports and takes away a fair bit of emotion a few days after the event. The problem i see is in the fact that players are not being reported in the first instance. I think the umpy's do a fair job but just like their decision rulings on the game they don't see EVERY free kick.

Don't have Sunday Mail in front of me mate but Kempster played very well and was named as Maccy's best.
Maccy did have a recruit at Full Forward who kicked 4 from memory and he will provide a very handy target and make a few opposition players think twice before they pop back into "the hole". He was a player that was asked out to Macclesfiesl by the aforementioned Mitchell.
If the above mentioned incident between Mitchell/Dunning did occur, that is certainly not on but I think we all know that it doesn't take much for Dunning to fire up at the best of times.
Ithink you might be referring to Matt Thomas from Morphie parks his brother Steve plays there also but is injured

DIV1 tips
I.B to win
LOBY to win
The rest will be true to form from last year
DIV2
Gums v Caravans Benson's to get up but with no central div team to play down this week
Power v TV cheque books, As long as armaguard turn up TV will win
Maccy v Echunga Maccy have improved but chunga's even more. Chunga's to win
Kangarilla v Rams Kangas in aclose one. Will be a test at where Nairne's is( and i don't mean on the map, because stringers boys ain't smart enough to read maps. He gets them to away games by holding some cheese out the window as he drives)
Cally v Meadows meadows in a walkover.

I think most hills supporters would have noticed that I Silvy slotted a lazy 17 goals on the weekend for TV (according to the Sunday Mail results, may have been a typo)
Maybe for a pretty star studded and expensive forward line!! Surely there cannot be a huge satisfaction for the boys in winning a premiership built on cash?? Any thoughts?

bridgy thumped one of the lower southern sides in 1st trial game, against the saints they had majority of side out and than when played top southern side got beaten by 15 goals, but had a few out, kluzek not playing till round 3 or 4. they will be improve but don't go by trial game form. they will beat birdwood and mount barker and should be close games with loby and hahndorf.

dk out for lofty 1st game and trigger will most probably play but his hammy is giving him a bit of trouble!

17 goals was right. TV won a flag 2 years ago built on cash, and every Div 1 flag has been won with money for a very long time. It appears Div 2 is heading in the same direction with more teams in that league handing out the dough. There are very few that don't....

luvinfooty wrote:Well im so bored at work and there hasnt been much talk on here lately, so round one boys..

Blackwood vs Ironbank -> Ironbank i think might win as their recent form has been somewhat impressive in the A's, big improvers this year i dare say, as long as Muffy hasnt gone walkabout!! Plus i cant pick Blackwood, it would be like picking Collingwood or Port Power, i just cant do it!!

Hahndorf vs Lobethal -> Tough one, no idea on recent form so maybe Lobethal??

Uraidla vs Bridgewater -> Gee, hmm umm Uraidla?!? Sorry but think Bridgy and Mt Barker will be toughing it out with the Roosters for the Wooden spoon!

Onkas vs Birdwood -> see above

Mt Barker vs Mt Lofty -> well if Mt Barker can fill two teams i will be impressed and i will be even more impressed if they can kick more than a goal a quarter against the goats, defintely will be the biggest margin of the round.

So bring on the onslaught....I need some entertainment today.

Blackwood (should actually be a good game)
Lobey
Uri's
And i agree with luvinfooty...Lofty in the biggest win of the round, unless there's something I don't know about Barker.
