Absolutely, I'm not sure why it's even a question. If your stupid enough to have too many on the ground it's your own fault.....It's a rule everyone is aware of

found a couple of the coaches comments interesting today
how did you guys read these comments....
"the tradition still continues at Bostons" Ramsey
"dissapointing not to put the game out of reach early" Wally (after kicking the first 3 goals)
"The top 3 teams are light years above the bottom 3 teams" Wally.

Ramsey's comment - It sure does Buddy, it sure does.....
Wally 1 - Read the comment, checked the score and saw 3.5 for first quarter. Perhaps not completely out of reach but plausible
Wally 2 - Nup, think Souths in fourth are capable of beating anyone on their day. One week is a long time in footy as proven by our draw this week, our side didn't look real strong when I was reading the board after our B grade game and the fact Zoomer asked me to play A's (which I declined) at half time of the B's indicates how much a side can change. Comp is wide open....

1. Think rambo was more commenting on the late pull outs and the fact that he had 6-7 players who played at least 2 grades on the day...They finished with only 16 fit players on the field so they can't take a trick...2. Wally was referring to their dominance of the first qtr, in particular the first 20 minutes. Took half the qtr before LS entered fwd 50.They should have been 5-6 up at qtr time and then shut the gate....3. Wally is just saying what most rational people on here would be thinking...The top three are a fair way ahead of the bottom 3 and that is a fact..statistically as well as factually....You are right panther, the comp is wide open given that anyone of 3 sides can win it...All sides have injuries, and some seem effected more than others, but as for T or LS making a GF, let alone winning one....to quote the mighty Johhny Mac..."you cannot be serious"

Just calling it as I see it from a MR point of view. We have Souths after Kinlough and I think that if we have the same team as Saturday, minus Watho etc an improving Souths outfit would probably win. We will be stronger again later (I hope) and it would take a massive effort for Souths to get there but they are definitely not light years away!!

Agree Grub about LS at least. No excuses - plain cold hard facts. However now that ur starting to get them back on the track u will will need to win a few games agin the top 3 and that is a big chance in my opinion, even more so if the others cop a couple of injuries themselves as we are now

How many teams involved in the Kinlough? is it an odd amount? wouldnt that be hard to work out a programme? How will the Lincoln sides measure up? Districts would be beter than City on ladder positions.... would this be the case?

In finals anything can happen.
But it sounds like getting there in itself could be an issue for Tasmans.
Where are they falling down?

injuries, lack of commitment and no heart has seen us fall from the second best team in the comp (up to round 14 last year) to being the 5th best team. These may be harsh words but hey... its a forum and thats how I feel! We will fight the year out and with the return of key personell we can still reclaim some lost ground and make the finals. The reserves are going well and should go very close to winning back to back.... we may look at qaulifying a few more A graders for the resies later in the season.

Tassies B grade was a shambles last time we played them RR, I'd have us on top at the moment and Mallee's as the second best side based on what I've seen in the second round. B grade sides change a hell of a lot come finals though, but I can assure you we will only be getting stronger as well

Draw is FW v MW; EE v LD; GF v Whyalla: loser game 1 v LC then
Winner game 1 v Winner game 2; Winner game 3 v LC; loser game2 v loser game 3 then Grand final (top 2 ranked sides decided on points & %.
So 7 sides and an odd amount
Both LD and LC missing key players to injusry and unavailability. The bloody ski trip is on again and as with last year it clashes with Kinlough.
LD have Christian Dorward, Jacob Watson on ski trip, Luke Harder state under 16 trial match, Tom Schumann, James Lindsay all injured, Jeremy Matthews away and concerns with Jake Sampson and Landon Gregory who both didn't play last week with injuries. Some big outs there for us. Would have thought we'd give it a shake with all those in.
I understand LC have a couple on the ski trip as well being Jake Swalue and Luke Marshall but not sure about anyone else.
Still think both will be competitive.
GF have Jay Shannon and Jack Nelligan with state u16 duties as well

Just checked out PLFL's website.
Can't believe they played footy in summer in 1970. And the results are uncannily similar to this season's...

AG - the write up appears to be dated as 1st Jan 1970! Well, I guess they got the rest of the site right, had me fooled for a sec!!
I think we all know, WCP will line up for A's given the chance...he talked down that so much preseason, probably knowing that it may happen. He's got some beer drinking time between now and then to decide.
It'd be damn funny if he got the call up and the poor bastard was put on a wing! THEN he'd wish he was sinking cans.

The only time I get near the wing is when I'm fielding at mid-wicket......

No Grub, the U17 boys collect all the mushrooms for me on Thursday nights before they start training which is well before WCP gets on the track. And I might add that with no rakes out there, the mushies are in unspoilt condition and taste a treat
