Peter Usher is the new coach of Roopena. The only League coaching change for 2011.

I talked to Waylon in the off-season and he said he wasn't going to coach next season, is he still playing?

Is Peter player/coach?

Also read about the GF day, I actually never heard about those incidents at all. Weerona Bay do have a different mentality. I remember 1 game, they played beautiful football all day, yet the biggest cheers were for late bumps & sling tackles. Quite funny really.

Usher will probably play as well. However, Hannemann will move on to play elsewhere, possibly take one with him too.

He wouldn't play at another Whyalla Club. I would say either back to EEFL or anywhere he would get work.

Pete will be a playing coach and Waylon will continue to play.

Could be a few depatures, worst case 8 but realistically 4, with a few boys leaving for work and even a couple contemplating not playing in Whyalla anymore due to the crap that comes from certain clubs and that the league is in a stagnant place at the moment. Few blokes that were 'key' players in the ressies flag will step up and there are a couple of potential recruits. So I would say roos will be a touch weaker than last year but will still start the season as short priced favourites considering their dominance last season.

Must almost be time for Matt Oliver to move on, he's been there a couple of years so that's about his expiry date at most clubs.

Will Dean Storic be staying with Roopena next season? Have heard a few Westie boys might be on the move to Centrals!

If Storic plays in Whyalla, I would say he'd stay at Roos. Which Westy boys are on the move?

Rumour only heard at the Eyre Hotel one night; but was told Everett brothers, Norman, Grzona and possibly Nowak could be looking at a move to Centrals. Apparently a falling out with teammate.

I've heard something similar.
I hear Norths have signed former Blyth/Snowtown player Nick Humphrys?

Matty Hayman will be very handy in Whyalla, plays CHB and can go into the ruck as well.

Very fit so will carve up at chb in whyalla

Cheers PC! Good big blokes are hard to come by.

Also confirmed Tim Hogg is an out for North, heading overseas.
