Ive been told by a reliable source that hahndorf are a lil short on numbers... can anyone confirm this??? Interesting to see Hughes and Farmer didnt get in the top 7 of the b and f for hahndorf under 17s last year! Griv must have made them ALOT better footballers, he would have to of...

its a good idea having extra teams for these clubs (lofty, uri, onka IB ) to reward their numbers coming out to training, but wouldnt it be better to have these 4 teams turned into 2 and play them in the country division instead of just having the same 4 teams playing off each week, or another thought maybe not sure on other comps but couldnt we place these teams into say a sfl c grade comp seeing as the traveling distance isnt to great, just to allow for variety in competition

the c grade teams are going to consist of senior players mainly, the ones who are still keen for a kick and catch but not so keen on training too hard. therefor i would imagine they might get taken to the candy shop against country div teams. it's more the retired players from years gone bye un-hanging the boots.

i hear chunda is keen for a guernsey in c grade....

I know we had some discussion on this before but there seems to be no easy solution to the c-grade comp question. The guys that rock out to training for their club don't want to go and play with a bunch of other randoms from other clubs they get thrown together with each week. And a 4 team c-grade comp isn't too appealing. I would say that perhaps could each of the 4 teams chuck a 'C grade' team into country division b-grade a bit similar to Blackwood having 4 teams??? Otherwise the blokes that miss out could go and train at Mt Barker, Hahndorf or Echunga from what I hear on the forum.....

Some of us "older" people on this forum remember that there was a C grade comp as recently as '98 that was played on a Sunday. It was nothing too serious but it didn't last too long and that was probably due to reasons that have already been mentioned.

That is classic. there is that much more money being spent out in the country. i remember john rickter leaving the devs because he was getting $800 a game out in the sticks somewhere. and even if there is a lot of money that dosent matter anyway because it just makes the locals better players and the vewing more enjoyable.

I know Daniele from Kangarilla is going to sit out this year and be the runner for Angaston cause Stringer wont let him back out of his contract. Crazy if you ask me cause I would sure think twice about signing with them if your only way to leave the club i to sit out for a year. No point burning bridges - players talk

Kangies also refusing a clearance to the S.F.L...... Kenna told no clearance will be given due to contract for this season ...... The guy lives down south and doesnt want to travel but told bad luck either play or sit the season out ... this is poor form from Kangies ... there is no point keeping a player who doesnt want to be there
