Well....a win for Waikerie with Roo kicking the winning goal.
A perfect result in the centenary year for them.

Darren Dean obviously won't be there next year, soooo Nathan Tape to retire and take over?

Tom Hyde and Steve Liebich also to retire? Possibly even Shayne Stevens.

Well done to the Tigers on the B grade flag. Mulligain - what was your impact on the game?

In further news - Wunkar to miss Tim and Simon Hucks next season by all accounts.

Tell me how a well know Waikerie identity can get away with approaching and abusing one of the umpires from the A Grade Grand Final as well as commission members straight after the game (on the oval infact) They won the damn game.
The guy concerned should be held accountable for his behaviour.
How can anyone expect the players and supporters to behave in an approprate manner when this guy behaves like this.
I believe this guy was involved in a VERY NASTY incident involving a opposition player a number of years ago.
What do these guys want. I am sure they think they are in a league of their own and what they want they should get.
Yes they are a good team but lets face it where would have they got without Roo on Saturday.
Cobby are are good team to but they don't carry on like like Waikerie.

What happened with the fight at the huddle, which moved to in front of the club rooms and then on to oval number two?

Someone walked past the Waikerie huddle carrying on like a pork chop and got a bit of a belting apparently.

Yeah it looked pretty dodgy. I was on a bad angle but from all reports it was a point.
But Renmark had one that was a bit dodgy earlier so it evened out a bit.
Bloody good game.
Couldn't ask for a better spectacle in the GF. Great weather, good footy, a couple of brawls.
Bloody brilliant.

Thanks DW.

Didn't have much of an impact - had two shots on goal into the breeze and missed them both. Was a good win though and I'm certainly feeling the effects of some heavy celebrations.

Didn't have much of an impact?

What about the handball over the head in the forward 50 in the third term?

Resulted in the match winning goal IMHO!

Sitting directly behind the goals at the River end, but didn't watch the ball go thru. I was waiting for Ricciuto's reaction after he kicked it with my camera lens fixed on him. His immediate reaction after he kicked it was somewhat delayed. He just stood there and when the goal umps signal went up he just flipped out. Like it was a surprise. Having said that, i guess you can't always tell, but the large crowd behind me (mostly Loxton supporters) kicked up a fair fuss. As CN said, if Renners got a dogdy one too, than the equation is even.

Plus, reports are the goal umpire who made the call is quite frustrated with the response she got from a lot of people.

The game was great, but in particular I was impressed with the efforts of midfielder Simon Callahan. Superb game from him.

Yeah he got up and announced his retirement shortly after the game. I will be very surprised if he doesn't play a game or two next year though.

Donny Cregan is also considering hanging them up - Saturday's flag was the first of his career!

Manny's going to give it another year so he can bring up his 400.
