Blackwood v Callington
Torrens Valley v Gumeracha
Echunga v Kersbrook
Nairne Bremer v Macclesfield
Meadows v Kangarilla

I don't really know enough about Country div now but I would go with Blackwood, Torrens Valley, Kersbrook for easy wins? Too hard to split the difference between Nairne Bremer and Macclesfield or Meadows and Kangarilla. :?

Might go and look at the Meadows v Kangarilla game I reckon.

meadows v kangarilla would have to be game of the round for sure, though with all of meadows recruits they'l probably win. havn't heard heaps from the kanga's camp, apart from losing danielle.
nairne v meadows will be a good one aswell, though i reckon nairne will come out on top

My predictions:

Meadows vs Kangy..preview of grandfinal

Rams vs Maccy..these 2 will be outside contenders to challenge above

Echunga or TV to make up five.

Gums, B/wood& Cally a long way behind

Anyone willing to have a go at predicting the div 2 ladder?

Meadows
Kersbrook
Kangarilla
Nairne
TV
Maccy
Echunga
Callington
Blackwood
Gumeracha

I think the top three will be stand-outs with Nairne and TV not far behind. Maccy, Echunga & Callington will all be pretty close with some of them pulling off a couple of upsets this year. And I think Blackwood will struggle with the overall loss of numbers but still may give the 3 sides above a run for their money....especially at Windy Hill.
Gum will just be making up the numbers with plenty of young kids playing senior footy.

Don't know if this has already been mentioned but............

There are rumours doing the rounds that Gavin Wanganeen and Shane Bond are going to make SOME appearances for Callington.
Once again though, this will go down in the "believe it when I see it" file.

Gav wont be pulling on the boots in 2007. Shane would be good for about a quarter in any team so not much to worry about there.

Tips : Blackwood to beat callington - Blackwood always strong when central div not playing in
round one.
Torrens Valley to win by lots and lots hopefully Gums can fill 2 sides all year.
Kersbrook in a close one over a much improved Echunga.
Nairne over Maccy at the Mt. BArker reunion game.
Meadows to defeat Kangy's by less than a goal. Meadows recruiting may turn
out to as big as Lofty's of recent years.

Ladder: Meadows
Kangarilla
Kersbrook
Nairne
Torrens Valley
Echunga
Maccy
Blackwood
Callington
Gumeracha

With the money being spent country div looks very strong an competitve.

Maybe someone could put a speculative ladder together on money being spent. Would Torrens Valley still top this.

Echunga have picked up a big recruit on the eve of the season with the signing of gun Mt Lofty youngster Nick Cook. This could add some much needed pace to their midfield. Hopefully we can see Cook go head to head with one of the James brothers in Round 1.....

From the little I know, not very well, unless of course all of Bawden's recruits are absolute guns. If they are guns, they must be training elsewhere as it sounds like the turnouts at training haven't been too flash.

Devastated to hear nick cook going to Echunga was sought after by many clubs . I know the shoes put out feelers to see if he was interested.
He may turn the Echunga pub into a profitable business though

Nick "Podge" Cook will dominate country division. Get on board him for the Mail Medal!!! He has a massive engine and is brilliant on both sides of the body. Deadly around goals.
