Encounter Bay Vs Mt Compass - Whilst Mt Compass will be without the services of Burdett they will still have the firepower to knock off the Bays I think. If the Bays can make the most of the Bulldogs being without their main playmaker and pull off a win it will make things interesting but I think it will be Compass by 4 or 5 goals.

Yankalilla Vs Myponga - These local derbies are always good contests. I get the feeling Yankalilla might come away with the points in a tight one but the Mudlarks will be fighting tooth and nail.

McLaren Vs Victor - McLaren are struggling and Victor have got the Bays breathing down their necks for 5th spot. It's a classic case of one side having everything to play for and the other having nothing. Victor should belt them if they're true finals contenders.

Langhorne Creek vs Strath - Strath look to have the better side on paper at the moment but history will show that over the last 5 years there has rarely been a one sided game played between these 2 clubs. I'm not brave enough to pick a winner but I think the final margin will be less than 2 goals.

Saints Vs Willunga - I'm tipping Hamsy to notch up the ton before half time in what will be a long day for the Saints.

Get real some of you lot. Hams to get the ton (8 goals) before half time is a silly thing to say! I also think that our last 2 weeks (a win against pongy and a good show against Strath) would suggest that we wont get beaten by 200+ points. Having said that when you look at our outs, you would think that Willunga would be rubbing their hands. Using your formula cuzzy you are suggesting that McLarens are a 95 point better side than the Saints and a 96 point better side than Myponga. Is this what your suggesting?

not really using a formula mate or even thinking about it to hard, i just think that Willunga have hit some very very good form and agaisnt a team like yours they will flog the s%$T out of you boys. I did hear you have got some outs which makes it even more likley to happen. I would like for you to prove me wrong, imagine if you won that would be awsome but it wont happen. Good luck though and watch out for the pitch invasion when hams kicks his 8 in the first quarter and the crowd runs on the oval

I was only pulling your leg about Hamsy kicking 8 in the first half LF.. but it probably isn't beyond the great man if he gets on a roll early though! I'm sure the Saints backman will be doing everything in their power to make sure the celebrations are postponed until next week.

Why would Mclaren want to leave GSFL with the sucess they have had in a short period since joining. I guess thats the main reason why a number are against them. Remember Willunga got the same reception in the first couple of years of joining this comp from the under achieving teams in the GSFL.

Wont be much of a pitch invasion. Willunga have a total of 23 supporters and 17 of those only turn up to watch Portlock. The remaining 6 surely wont make the effort on a 14 degree wet and windy day at Goolwa Oval!

You guys obviously know me but the facts are there a number of colts premierships, 1 Reserves and 1 A grade in 8 years of joining. It certainly doesnt sit right where thay are now but they will rebound with the right structures in place and some brave decisions that may be needed to be made.

Agreed, when you look at their sponsorship pool aswell its not as though they are sitting that badly financially either. It does how ever point out the dire need to have some smart enthusiastic business people on board to help turn their current form around. A club is determined by their A grade and feel they will not be far from returning up the ladder again. Maybe Clarence Hill can buy a decent coach instead of sponsorship?

Maybe they need to look at getting a few of the younger past players who were involved in that era (Lootsy, Feno etc) to get those structures back. Maybe a former coach even??
