i dunno if they are in trouble, they've had roughly 50 out to training but never all at once. word from the coaches etc told me 10 were out due to work, but still 33 isnt good over 2 teams. i think some senior colts are gonna end up filling in for the b grade again this year. might be a tough year for the mags but the a grade squad is getting younger so will hopefully get better in a couple of years

bobby davis wrote:kersbrook hahndy game was disgraceful. hahndorf only had 23 players avaliable for As and Bs combined to play 6 quarters. so hahndorf killed kersbrook in the Bs but lost convincingly in the As partly due to having already having played 3 quarters before the As started. wasnt a fair game and the brookers wont take much out of it but not overly encouraging for the pies

...so there's a bit more to this story than first thought hey. I wouldn't have thought the kersbrook A's would get up over the Hahny boys on a regular day. All the Div 2 boys were quick to jump and say how the gap was closing, a little bit early to start saying that i'd have to say. Knowing a fair few of the Hanhndorf lads I think they'll be a pretty competitive side this year, in fact i'm certain of it.

your right LTSO. plenty of talent in the pies and still have the class of stephens and stansborough etc. losing harkness will be a big blow though, he could play. gallagher will do well, hopefully a better investment than ormand allen

The earlier post re police task force...holy crap. That's serious stuff.
Is it ZERO alcohol full stop, other than in a bar area? How do they prove where you got it?

This season every club will have to supply 2 HFL certified umpires each week for colts and B's.
If not the match is forfeited.

Also on the meeting I heard a Police task force was present and that they would be targeting the Hills leauge this season on grog being brought into grounds with car search's and the like.

You seem to know a fair bit about the HFL meetings Alaska.....................

Could this "police task force" have come about from last years Country Grand Final antics?

You must have large fore arms and squinty little eyes rapper! Work that out and you may be able to do us the unfortunate favour of reproducing one day.
Conversation represents dialogue, forum represent monologue hence conversation skills not required.

Which Gallagher was recruited gents and any word of wher Ormend-Allen landed? He has a tie to the Kluzek brothers who are now at the Raiders I believe.

Postby Shanty Lad » Tue Apr 03, 2007 4:29 pm

Is the rumour true that Dion Wright is being wooed by mt. lofty's big wallet? Old ron burgandy mentioned our a's were rolled but he forgot to mention that the b's ended up giving goolwa a touch up. As to car searches and the like we've heard it before time and time again but the nothings happened, scare tactics! The new in the back rule is sh@# all a forward seems like they have to do is take a dive and they got a free shot. toughen up and bring back the biff

Who's Dion Wright?
Agree SL, the in the back rule is a dead set disgrace.
As a former backman it brings a tear to the eye. The game is becoming sanitised.
The guy with his head over the ball should always be protected, but nudges in the back are just good ol fashioned sneaky footy!!

dions a bridgewater legend and looks a lot like the viking pic i'm using at the moment. Just wanted to give him a mention, no substance to the rumour at all. the contact rule will be the next one to introduced the way it's goin. A good forward should be able to deal with a little old fashioned scraggin. i know i've copped a few sly elbows for the cheeky jumper pinch.

steve smith is super fit at the moment and will have a good season. waldo and breen are going ok and will probably get a few games again. the big news so far is ben pohl who is starting the season very well despite still being in senior colts
